@ Baiyuan - Thanks dude means alot from yourself, the photo isn't great, as we chatted about before its using my 'old' work lamp but its good enough to see whats going on. Yes the glow was quite fiddlely and required a couple of attempts to get it, I'm pretty happy with it...first time around it looked more like he had yellow 'war paint' on his face haha.

Definitely doesn't look like warpaint anymore, looks like very shiny eyes. I think it's spot on and I probably couldn't have done it better (or even as good tbh) myself.

Haha ah you're too kind mate, thank you. Its not that good but I'm glad you like. I'd say something like Nuclealosaur Grey Knights OSL (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/210052-.html) is amazing, mines ok and only subtle but works on this guy so I'm happy.

I love the osl on the eyes, really looks fantastic.

Dude that is a pretty looking zombie (WTF?). Really like the eyes. Having not painted for 15 years you've done a freaking good job.

@ PDH - Haha yeah an odd juxtaposition right? Cheers Peter really means alot, and thank you for all the advice...As I said to LDD earlier, I had kept my hand in the old arts world over those years but minis are unlike any other type of painting out there.

Ah to glow or not to glow, that is the question.
Well naturally I think of zombies as having dead-white, frosted over eyes, maybe the odd wonky pupil staring out back at you but I really, really wanted to try painting some OSL. However, as you know, Scavvy weapons barely even work properly let alone have a fancy power/energy glow to them?! So I knew I'd have to do it on these boys instead. I went for yellow as I want to subtly tie them into the scheme idea I have for the other members of the gang who will all have a little bright yellow on them in random places too.

Yes, I see what You mean, but for us humans yours is already a top notch OSL.
It looks so well on the mini and that It's what is important

Like the eyes they have turned out well and rather different from the norm, they have a real sinister feel to them so good job

Skin tone is cool use of colours (I never really know what colour a zombie should be ?) The blue grey tinge gives it a more mutated feel rather than a decaying look.

The only small gripe I have is the cloth, the reason I mention this is I feel it could benefit from a little more gradual shading in the creases, although the crappy quality of the picture might not be helping.
Mind you that mini has a hell of a lot of creases on it, but that is just a nit pick plus I want to raise your game with each mini

Overall great job and after 15 years top work Keep it coming

Cheers LDD, yeah wanted them to have a ghoulish feel, almost like a 'rage' zombie from 28 Days Later rather then the classic Night Of The Living Dead walking corpse.

Yeah, the brown shirt/rag, I wasn't happy with it either. I got a bit carried away with the devlan mud, made the creases way too dark and then was 'lazy' and pretty much dry brushed the highlights, went and had a cigarette came back and thought, "Man that looks!" So lightened all the creases by hand and then re-painted all the highlights again, still wasn't quite right. I jumped up my colours too quickly and couldn't water down the paint much for blending coz the creases where so tight highlights were running into all the wrong bits Its okay now, I can live with it but yeah will need to pratice that.

At least you know I am being honest when I say great work, not just playing to your ego LOL

I have to say i do think that mini has to many creases to be honest, which will make it a real bitch to paint

So hats of to you for giving it a good go, Plus I am not saying it aint good just I think it could be better

But overal I like the paint job and think you have captured the mutation look well …… so stop moaning LOL

Really enjoyed the face on this guy...I love the idea that who-ever the poor btard was he got his claws into was armed with a chainsword and took half the zombies face off in the attack. Also happy with the green loin cloth/rags...tried to blend more carefully (Thanx LDD). The base is also really nice (at the back?! Duh! ) with some radioactive goo on the floor and the classic Necromunda black and yellow warn-stripes on the rusted metal plate he's on.

Do you guys wanna see each one of these as I paint 'em or should I just do a group shot at the end? Theres still 9 more to paint

Cheers Rogue...hmmm, I think the order was prime black, base gretchin green, thin wash barab black, thin wash devlan mud, thin layer of catachan green, highlight with 50/50 camo green/catacham green, thin wash thraka green, highlight 40/40/20 catachan green/bleached bone/skull white and tint with more thin devlan mud 'tll it looks a bit off colour. Flick/stipple on some graveyard earth for muck and stipple red gore/scorced brown/chaos black for blood as required...bake for 30mins and enjoy, haha

Yes, both we are all greedy on here, keep the brain eaters coming however when are you going to start painting the scavies ?

I like the second zombie as well, keep going on them 'till You get back all your painting skills right (already at a good point I say) and then shock us all with amazing painted scavvies.

Well as for the Scavvies themselves...hmmm well I feel like I could tackle them now, but I do want to get these guys out of the way first.

With each one so far I feel I've remembered/learnt something so yeah...and if I stop them now I'm pretty unlikely to come back to them later TBH...but the gang is def up next, and then either my Inq28 lot or maybe start the new project I've been thinking about (we'll see how cash flow is then)

Someone on my local clubs forum posted a Necromunda topic so I jumped in there...sadly he wants to play Spryers who I've never liked...

Anyone else would have been great, even Enforcers, but Spryers! My boys might get lucky but generally going to be pretty crap at the 'pin them from range' tactic so I'm gonna have to rush 'em and hope the 'large numbers in CC' game works, I'm also not sure who'll get to choose the scenerio, I was hoping that would be me with my low rating but probablly him I'm guessing...bloody Spryers!

If anyones got any advice on taking 'em out lemme know...I'm not loosing to those up-hive snobs!

Take a shotgun with you, if you look like you might be loosing threaten him and call it a draw or if you want to win then take the gun out early and ….. well you know the rest

I guess its all very dependant on the scenerio...in a straight up fight I should be ok but anything where I have to split up my force is gonna be troublesome coz one on one I've got no chance against them really.
