Possibly. This one is going be a lot more dry than "Lost". Well, it's not going to feel like it's raining anyway.

I came here from an offsite link and logged in to say how much that diorama owns. The weathering on that sentinel is absolutely top notch, superb work. That mud pooled around the fence looks real.

How'd you paint the wood, by the way?

That is brilliant. The modding, painting, the tracks, the creepy suspense of the piece... everything. A work of art to be sure!

Wicked. Appreciate that. Say, where did you see this posted off site?

The wood was painted in layers. Sprayed black first. Then several thin layers of brown and black ink (mixed with Klear). Finished with a pure mix of Klear for that wet look.

Very nice and engaging diorama. The title Lost seems to indicate the Pilot has make a wrong turn somewhere. Its really an inspiration. Makes me wanna work on my own.


Here's my version about what happen...

The Sentinel churn aimlessly forward for the past 1 hour, leaving deep footprints onto the muddy terrain. Prolonged wars and acid rain had long transformed the once scenic countryside into a barren and unforgiven landscape.

The pilot cursed at the faulty auspex for the tenth time, his anxiety increases by the red blicking light on top of the fuel gauge. Scanning the horizon, his fears eased when he spotted the silhouette of an imperial bunker.

The Sentinel, which has been now running on fumes for the past ten minutes, stopped a short distance before the bunker. Relief to have found help, he lifted the metal cage of the Sentinel and jumped onto the soft muddy ground.

As he walks towards the entrance, the pilot sense something is not quite right. The bunker appeared unoccupied and he observed hurried footprints exiting the place.

He shouldered his lasgun and cautiously approach the entrance, desperate for help but unsure what lies ahead in the darkness.

That's a write up and a half! Ring's so true. Brings it to life. Definitely work on your own, I'd love to see it. Thanks mate.
