The internet and humanity in general never fails to find new and improved ways to dissapoint me....

Twilight for instance....

I've only been a member for under a month. In that time I've learned that:
1 - I'm terrible at sculpting Green Stuff but there is help and much inspiration available (Space Corsairs for instance).
2 - Female Space Marines are not looked kindly upon but I'm still going to include them in my AoA force because it makes sense.
3 - You had better have firm beliefs if you intend on using Jokaero for anything (the populace hates the Space Monkey).
4 - That I am the biggest nerd I know IRL and so I'm moving to the internet to spend more time with people (or spambots?) who will never get tired of talking about 40k.

I learned that no matter how hard you try to make a thread with funny 40k picks, it will always be shut down before 30pgs. The interent needs more funny 40k pics. Someone should make some.

Grandma Nazi always gets out, gotta check those cellar locks again.
@nomsheep - pleased to meet you also, pretty sure we'll all eventually be up(?)graded to spambot.

I've also learned that this place actually gives me more motivation to paint. And less to do my homework.

Wiat she out again, grab the rifle we're going hunting. *cocks barrel*

I'm just annoying (depending on your p.o.v), or cute, caring, sadistic etc etc etc (once again depending on your p.o.v) I'm actually a hello kitty bear.

I don't think that's this place. I reckon you're just lazy

who actually did their homework in school?

It's true but this is adult school which I should be considering applying myself to. NO MATTER. It shall get done - so instead of that Dakka has taught me that it's fine to sit on the forum at 3am whilst figuring out a camo scheme on this Chimera hahaha. I feel sufficiently self-justified now **continues painting**

Fair play, I'll check that out.

If you read this all the way through, you'll notice someone (usually me and my epic spamming skills, to be fair i'm suprised I don't get more warnings than I have) have made it off-topic at least once per page.

On-topic, I have learnt that dakkas mods are the most active I've seen (cept when half dissapear to be nerds at adepticon ).

I've learned that no matter how well you round off your list, no matter how hard I try to justify my choices, and no matter how hard I try to explain what I mean, people will still try and poke the tiniest little holes in your list and complain about your non-meta attitude.

"Oh, you're taking Tactical marines in a BA Army? Idiot."

"Now you aren't taking a free MM in your squad? LOL."

"You're playing 40K? Smooth move."

So far I've ascertained that nine years away from GW leaves you hopelessly fumbling around in the dark when you return.

@guttersnipe - Did you work at GW or do you mean away from the hobby? They've both changed pretty radically, welcome back!

Thanks! I never worked for them; I was a gamer (mainly 40K and Necro) from 1994 to 2003.

Cool just read your intro thingy! Pity about your missing Necro minis - happens too often unfortunately! And it's good that you're a gamer again from 1994 to... Now!

Literally gaming from the day I was born... Cool.

Pretre: OOOOHHHHH snap. That's like driving away from hitting a pedestrian.

Yes, but that depends on how you define 'sanity', and 'possessions'. And how I define 'yours'.

I've learned that, as afor mentioned, there is ALWAYS someone smarter or more willing to argue then me,
I've learned that people are softies on the inside, and that mods are nice, usually.

I learned how nice Moderators can get.

And how furious they can get.

Agreed, sometimes you feel like you are taking it in the ass, where the lube makes it more gentle. And the extra pants is for the tiems when you are in such disbelief, OR laughed WAY to hard, that you gak yourself. Makes sense to me as well
