me personally, I learned how to do OSL, I learned how to airbrush some models. the articles are great, and the forum for the most part, its entertaining. The articles and the gallery are where its at.

I learned mostly that people with talent, are willing to share, and usually do. THAT makes the whole hobby move forward. love that.

Dakka has learned me many things, amongst these are the following.

1. Certain nationalities do love their guns & dachs hounds
2. C.S Gotto & Mat Ward will never get flowers from Dakka Dakka
3. OT is a place of great amusment, and sprinkeld with fear.
4. I have made friends and enemies I think, at least Shadowbrand loves me

I've learnt that my mate Matt is actually bigoted and intolerant. IRL he's nothing like he is on here - he actually wears a cardigan and quotes Antonio Gramsci in between bong-hits, whilst reading the Qu'ran. He tried to get me to join the Socialist Worker's Party last week. He's a close personal friend of Polly Toynbee.

I'm not sure what to say about my stint here. I've been to several forums, including 4chan, but I've never seen a place filled with so many people just waiting to get into an argument with you like here. Worse still, many have an "I MUST WIN" attitude, so instead of just letting things be and moving on or ignoring it all together, people opt to get mad and argue. People like what you don't like and vice versa, just get over it and stop wasting your time on such petty squabbles.

Also, bitter old man syndrome, bitter old man syndrome everywhere.

I've learnt several non-hobby-related things, mostly "hm, never knew that" kind of things, but I've also made quite a few friends on here and realised that, as aforementioned, the gaming world is far more diverse than you might think.
