How did the nazi's get to Atlantis?....Ancient Aliens.

Honestly, Dakka has taught me that I can take ANY thread and in a matter of posts have it horribly off topic, and that is a achievement in the OT section =o]

I have learnt that the wiener dog apocolypse is comming. They are making another judge dredd movie (atleast it doesn't have sly in it this time =o\) and that You Tube tags are the best thing since sliced bread.

Now if I could only get Manchu to change his siggy to " Now listen here do-gooder, I'm a man without a flaw! I trained for Fifteen year before they let me keep the law, I got a licence to club crazies and that's what you just saw! So wise mouth one more time and I'll break your drokken jaw!" my life would be complete =o]

-I learned that you shouldn't pick your nose with a working chainsword.
-I also learned that nuns with guns make my pants feel funny. -Tau are not Communists (according to the weirdos).
-The internet hates Mat Ward (it also hates Cruddace and Kelly on separate occasions).
-The last thing I learned is that MODs use their power like a double-ended pleasure-stick. In the end, two people always get screwed.

-I also learned that peace and happiness are always possible; but I'd rather not ruin the fun I'm having with war and closedmindedness.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Dakka has taught me porn is cheese, the emporers children's ashes are the ultimate high, for every one person who likes something ten more don't and your carefully thought out arguaments can and will be ignored.

Most importantly dakka has taught never ever ever to read c.s gotos books.

me personally, I learned how to do OSL, I learned how to airbrush some models. the articles are great, and the forum for the most part, its entertaining. The articles and the gallery are where its at.

I learned mostly that people with talent, are willing to share, and usually do. THAT makes the whole hobby move forward. love that.

Ok I'm bigoted and intolerant.

I've learnt that my mate Matt is actually bigoted and intolerant. IRL he's nothing like he is on here - he actually wears a cardigan and quotes Antonio Gramsci in between bong-hits, whilst reading the Qu'ran. He tried to get me to join the Socialist Worker's Party last week. He's a close personal friend of Polly Toynbee.

Through the looking glass

I'm not sure what to say about my stint here. I've been to several forums, including 4chan, but I've never seen a place filled with so many people just waiting to get into an argument with you like here. Worse still, many have an "I MUST WIN" attitude, so instead of just letting things be and moving on or ignoring it all together, people opt to get mad and argue. People like what you don't like and vice versa, just get over it and stop wasting your time on such petty squabbles.

Also, bitter old man syndrome, bitter old man syndrome everywhere.

- The gaming community is surprisingly diverse
- Matt Ward is pure, unfiltered evil

- Be very wary of some mods.

In a word, yes

I've learnt several non-hobby-related things, mostly "hm, never knew that" kind of things, but I've also made quite a few friends on here and realised that, as aforementioned, the gaming world is far more diverse than you might think.
