My writing has improved significantly due to being presented with a format in which I can produce, and review, individual statements quickly.

I learned how to snobbishly troll, with a certain panache.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

Same I learned about many things about world news here, such as emos being beaten to death with bricks in Iraq, IIRC North Korea's new dictator, and a host of other things I can't remember at the moment. I then go to my friends and pretend to be smart by knowing all this stuff.

This, I don't watch TV and generally don't read anything on news sites.
I also learned that the debates on Dakka are super amusing when you aren't involved.

I actually do. It's much more fair and informative than any other news source. Because of the difference of opinions, we always have great debates.

Enough dakka:
"You must create a weapon that can hit every point in space and time in the multiverse... with bullets that are each composed of every point in space and time in the multiverse... at point blank range to every point in space and time in the multiverse... And to clarify, the term "multiverse" includes: all alternate realities, parallel realities, perpendicular realities, potential realities, imagined realities, unimagined realities, inconceivable realities, and impossible realities. So you need a gun that shoots at everything, with everything, when next to everything. Now... how can we achieve *dramatic chord* too much dakka?"

Probably, I don't really know She's just the most well known female member on here.

I could've said a few other people, but they might not be well known enough (save Cyporiean).

I've learned an enormous amount in my few years on the site. Here's a list in no special order as they occur to me.

1.) My first army I actually played, as with most people, was Space Marines (from the AOBR set). I learned how to play them from Age of Egos.
2.) However, the first army I loved (from the Dawn of War games) was Necrons, and in fact my very first mini was a Necron Immortal. I later learned how to create my own from Gavin Thorne.
3.) Once I started playing, I had uncountable questions - dozens, maybe a hundred! Patiently and politely answered in YMDC, most often by Nosferatu1001 and Gwar.
4.) Mostly via PM's, I've learned an incredible amount of stuff about African Cichlids from MeanGreenStompa.
5.) I've learned a lot about casting techniques from Aerethan, again mostly via PM.
6.) I learned how to make washes from Les Bursley.
7.) learned how to sculpt chains and wreaths from Insaniak.
8.) I've learned a lot about airbrushes from Mistress of Minis.
9.) I learned a lot about how to make my own decals from Legoburner, and how to apply them correctly from Winterdyne.
10.) I learned how to take pictures that suck a lot less than they used to from Yakface.
11.) I learned that people can disagree with me often politically but still be totally reasonable from AustonT.
12.) I learned from Lunahound why my dullcote frosted my minis. Later, I discovered how to recover from it from Major Tom.
13.) I learned to read the story before commenting on it, lest I make a fool of myself, from Kanluwen. I'm confident he'll know what this is in reference to without a link.

That's off the top of my head, I'm too tired to think of more right now.
