yeah I've got two unpainted ones like that but with different poses. and one of thems carrying a blow torch! They are from the late 80s before GW had worked out all the fluff for mechanicus. so unlike later models these dont appear to be affiliated with mechanicus - no cog-wheel-skull icon. And I suppose cos they did skull shoulder pads for the chaplain they thought maybes skeleton hand would look good for techies. Its a shame you dont have a good view of the other shoulder pad as I know that they are quite cool - all dials and wires and stuff. Thats all I can tell you right now.

Here he is. 410506. I think I might have all his brother Techmarines as well. As they look familiar.
So last night I knocked out 'Bromden' in 59 minutes flat. I started at 5.01pm when I got in from work, and finished at 6.01pm.
I was rushing the eyes at the very last and made a fairly massive era. But I turned it in to a black eye. Is it worth keeping it as that? Or shall I go back and improve.
Does it pass?

Yep. They are from the Last Chancers box set. I really liked the models when they came out, and because they are metal they did not get eaten with the rest of my models. I think there were the last things I bought pre-WFRP and CoC conversion. So....
I have decided to do some undercoating today as I still have a lot of models to do.
I knocked out a model last night in 45mins to a decent standard. I will post pics tomorrow as I forgot to take them before I left home to go to my friends who has outdoors space for undercoating.
First of all. I think I should invest in a better mode of transport.
Here are some of the guys who are up for undercoat today:
Some Robots, Some Squats, Sat Ratlings, some IG, some mental Psykers, some Sigmarite Marines....
...and a surprise which I will show you after they are undercoated.

@ Black Ram,
To be honest I am not too sure (my girlfriend is telling me that I should sit down and catalogue them as I have a lot - and she likes Excel). I am pretty sure I have the first ever Space Marine Scout, I also have a Chainsaw Warrior. My rarest is probably 'Shorty' who is the first ever 'Ratling'. You can see an example of him on Weetskemians last WD page load up.
Oh according to @Ambul I have an extremely rare Dragonlord from Grenadier miniatures. He collects that particular type and has never seen a picker of the one I have. If you scroll back a couple of pages you can see him.
Was just spraying my 30 or so minis in this batch and I ran out of black paint. So will need to go and find some...but I will probably get grey this time. I have only sprayed the front of the minis black, so I think I will do the back grey, and these guys will just have a lightsource on their backs.
Mano Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually...my oldest models are probably some of my preslotta halflings...but they aren't 40k.
I really like halflings. Reminds me of home. Though I am a bit like Carrot Ironfounderson as I am 6'3. Automatically Appended Next Post: Had a major scare earlier...thought I had lost 1/2 my halfling army. Turns out it was in a box that was full of warhammer I had completely forgotten about....took me 40mins to discover.
Automatically Appended Next Post: So I have been quite productive model wise (not work wise narg) today. Have about 40 mins which fingers crossed are drying well with a cheapo can of grey spray. And then I have poured paint stripper all over the last remaining and hardest to strip models.
Hope it all works out ok!

HOLD UP.
Last night, whilst drinking a nice cool beer in my sweltering room, it dawned on me in my semi-sober state that I had misplaced about 20 Halflings. Panic came over me as I realized that they weren't in my modeling trays, my sock draw, my bookcase or anywhere else. I called up my girlfriend who was no help. I panicked.
Then 40 mins later I found a box which I had completely forgotten about over the last year (this does not bode well for my return home at Xmas where I shall look for other minis which have been stacked for nearly a decade).
As soon as I found them I reaslied I was being a bit amateur in my treatment of my miniatures. Which it turns out are quite rare and valuable (some worth of 5 english squids!).
So, whilst I have spent a few months on the 40k Sigmarites, and I will continue to work on them, I am going to tackle all my other miniatures that I have. Some of them I won't be able to do straight away - as they are in my parents house in the UK. I am also, as soon as I get 50% done going to undertake a brand new Imperial Guard Army, which will be highly converted, and hopefully come in at under a hundred pound total cost. However I won't launch that yet, so I won't advertise it. There won't be any oop in that one, but hopefully there will be lots of GS and win. The other thing I am going to do is catalogue what I have, because its not good not knowing what I have or where it is. That is a good way to lose a lot of models, which is really what it is all about.
So these are my projects:
40k Sons of Sigmar (I have painted 30 odd models out of about 500)
Firmir Mordheim Band ( I have about 10 Firmir, and 1 or 2 Zoats)
Sigmarite Political Activists (Can't think of a better word currently) Redemptionist Necromunda Band
Halfling Army (I have about 60 halflings. I also have some Dogs of War Heavy Support - 2 brand new Golthags Ogres squads, and I need to come up with some scratch built hot pots)
Human Blood Bowl Team - From the box. I picked up the game at a Car boot sale for a fiver. I started painting them a decade ago. Need to finish.
Secret IG Army - Don't have anything for this bar a tank. However I want to do it for less than 100 squids.
Oh. My Ninja Mordheim Band - Back home I am certain I have a Samurai and a Grand Master. I want to make some temple dog riders.
Oh....
And I have something, actually I have 25 of something, that I think will blow your cotton socks off. I'll show you those, if I can find them, at Xmas. I am debating to call them the Comets, and they will go with my Sigmarites, but they require a shed load of work (partly as I have to replace all the plastic bits I melted 10 years ago).
That's about it. Now for some pictures. I still have a lot of mini's back home, in the UK, and that's why I don't have pictures of everything that I am dealing with. A lot of this will be painting, reparing, small amounts of Green Stuff. Mainly I am hoping it will be fun to rediscover stuff I packed away a long long time ago, in a country far away....

@ Neil101 - Glad to see you are painting! I really like Ratlings, which is why I picked up the new pack straight from the shop last Xmas.
@ Weety - thats 20years of collecting mine and other peoples miniatures. And not doing anything with them bar taken them out, look at them, sigh and put them back.
@ Monkeytroll Yeah. Bikes were my favorite. They were ok priced when I was younger...so I could buy one a week with my measily weekend job pay and still afford a 4 pack of stella.
@ Weety! Thanks...I was a bit doubtful about him. But I played with the light settings and he came up well. I wish I could have done the 010110 better on his sacred text, but hey - will go back in 6 months, 500 minis later, and can probably write a verse.
