Not everything posted in the P&M forum is to everyone's taste. This thread contains somewhat controversial material, but also a fair amount of inoffensive stuff, and seems intended to be a humorous and creative effort.

It is fine to give negative feedback to a poster, but please remember that courtesy is required, and especially encouraged and emphasized here in the P&M forums.

If you do not enjoy the thread, you really don't need to read it. If you find a particular idea objectionable, you can express that in a polite way (like, for example, Filbert regarding the wasps). What's that line about how we can "disagree without being disagreeable"?

I've gone through the thread and it seams to be coming down to this, a cheep gimmick thats designed to offend and shock people. since your taking criticism honestly I'd say you need to spend more time working on your individual models. your rush through conversion and units your not getting any better as a hobbiest or a painter. however you are more talented at sculpting penises (vagina's are another story)

your trying which is something, but thats all it really is. I don't see any progression, I don't see any models painted to TTQ or if they are its bare minimum.

at this point its simply to get attention. this thread should have been locked if not for the utter fact that your sculpting a penis, then for the fact that its not stayed on topic at all throughout.

If this is allowable I'm going to start a thread dedicated to green stuffing penis's on 25mm bases with space marine helmets for balls. its 40k and if I put a NSFW tag while saying its all about slanesh objective markers then its okay apparently.

Thats kind of massively hypocritical, don't you think? I think so, anyway. Spend some time on your grammar, punctuation, and capitalization skills as well. It helps people take you seriously.

One more thing before I go. You did actually contribute an idea! As you may have glossed over, I usually have a short turnaround time for requests.

I dont see any penises on those space marines... I think wash away was abit out of order for having a go at your hobby skills however.. I actually quite like the 'Objective marker', not sure why lol...

Ok well maybe he doesn't exhibit ALL the same traits as my thread. But definitely the part about rushing the unit and not having things above bare minimum TTQ.
Come to think of it, not really any of his 27 gallery images meet that criteria! I just picked that one because it has the guy in front row center not painted at all.
Maybe I'd have put him on the back right or something. Stage the photo at least a little.

Im not sure if I want to make it a play on words with a current band name, though several like that are readily obvious, and would be fun to riff on. Ripknot, Slinkin' Park, Broodlords of Acid, Mealtallica, AC/ST... easy.
Maybe just Biomass, keep it simple.

Not a big fan of the models per se, I just love your mouthyness, and how you're just kind of giving people the finger because they're to dense to see the sarcasm.

Biomass sums it up pretty nicely. GGGP would also work.

@Lint Thanks for the input! To be honest, I'm just banging the models out as fast as I can before the ideas slip away. My photography might also leave much to be desired, but all I've got is a cameraphone. Some of the models even have large voids in between the plastic, like the Penobjective or the Gargoyle guitarists left arm that are hidden by camera angles. The intent is to "Some Day" go back and finish both sculpting and painting. But for now I'm just cranking out a Fun themed Tyranid army with a sideboard intent on perhaps giving opponents a really awkward boner/ wasp stings.
I'm glad you're one of the people that enjoys the mouthyness. Too often, people abuse the anonymity of the internet to just blast away without fear of repercussion. Or they have reached 500ish posts on an Internet forum that they now perceive as "theirs", and can speak however they like, and influence what actually happens. Not so, if I can stop it. You'll notice that the detractors rarely come back for a second portion, and the ones that do aren't back for thirds. You'll also notice that I try and respond to everyone that contributes, and will spend time and resources seeing that ideas that I like come to life.
Again, I know I'm not the best modeler, painter, or even human being for that matter. But dammit, I love me some Wargaming, Fun, and well, I had a third thing but its slipped my mind. Grammar. It was grammar. Some of these peoples' abuse of colons (hehehe) is appalling. Apparently flowery language and complex sentence structure is the Philosophers Stone that transmutes their base turds of wisdom into gold.

@Nerivant Hive Fleetwood Mac? Awesome. I was trying to make "Goos" (Muse) work, with "Biomassive Black Hole" but I might have to go with "GGGP Biomass".

And as a reward for slogging through my walls of text, heres a shot of my new workspace. Its a wicker table thats on its last legs, so I'm going to restore it into a gaming board. Its got 6 sides and the wicker pattern meets in the middle, so I'm planning deployments based on rolling a D6 and trying to get to the objective in the center. The table is 36" across, so that means its 18" to the center. Its like this thing was made for fun games.

I think this stuff is hilarious. Not sure why people are getting butthurt over it.

Its an HQ Tervigon, Limbo. Since its hollow, I fill the space with the old termagants and just shake out the amount I need per rolling. Its also huge. A normal size carnifex or Tyrant fits behind it and is totally out of LOS.

And the musicians?

That seal gives the penis a quite isolate appearance... like it would be lying in a war torn field.. CAN YOU IMAGINE??

If I were in your place, I'd drop the idea of a cheeky, gruesome play on words and go entirely the other direction: picking a name so candied and happy-fun-times that it is eerily out of place with your savage ripper band. I think you could still play off naming conventions for bands, but instead of metal I'd look at pop, particularly from 50-60 years ago (i.e. ______ and the _______). I think it's a little more cerebral, which you pull off well.

The musicians are likely going to be an objective marker, same as the sex scene. If I'm to pick three objectives, drugs sex and rock and roll are the classic three life goals. Gonna have to be careful with this next one not to be too offensive.

@taviottamaton. I'm actually working on a ripper barbershop quartet that would be perfect for. Rippy and the hives? Some infanilized name and a humorous grouping.

How about "Xeno Warrior Princesses" as a band name?
