I think, although I'm not 100% on this, that you get some indictment for killing some NPC's (such as Solair). Also, IIRC, you can get it when invaded by the Hunter group.

Dark Armor is really cool looking.

Besides, ya got to go with a set, otherwise you just look silly.

Well, on my Strength build, I run Black Iron Armour.

On my Dex/Faith build, I run full Giant Mail.

On my Murakumo/Dragonslayer Greatbow build, I run Black Iron chest, Iron Helm, Holy Trousers, and Witch Gloves.

My Dex/Magic (for CMW) build wears Great Lord chest, Wanderer's hood, Brass Leggings, and Black Leather Gloves.

When I get summoned by others to help, I get 1 shotted by by starting area mobs.

Where as if Im in my own world, they do almost no damage.

I don't have that problem. Keep in mind you can't use your Estus when you are summoned, you are healed for a little bit if the "main" player uses his Estus. When I get summoned, I equip the Evil Eye ring to help with that.
Edit: I don't know if you can be summoned to a New Game + world if you haven't beaten the game, but if you can that could be your problem.

As for armor, I've been using Elite Knight with the Elite Boar Helm, although I've recently had the urge to run naked with just the Boar Helm and punch things with dual wielding cestus...probably why people don't summon me for help anymore...

If anyone could give me some tips on fighting
Spoiler:
Quelagg, I would greatly appreciate it. Even with 150 fire resist she kills me easily and I barely have any time to get some hits in before she jumps me with her fire whip.

I'm a melee fighter and I will not stoop to spamming Soul Arrow. If only Maneater Mildred was useful as bait, I might have a chance. Instead she takes a lava bath and never even uses that giant cleaver.

I originally started with a knight, with shield and heavy armor because Im scared of dying. Then I realize along the way that the best way of
not dying is to not get hit.... the boss pretty much 1 shots me ( I dont add HP or endurance , only added str and dex )

Then once I fought and died at the boss with heavy armor on, I switch to light cloth armor and dual wield heavy weapons. The boss hasnt being able to land a hit on me since.

For Queelagg, you have to take your time and hit her baehind. I would just run around avoiding her human body + her sword, till she start breathing magma, then I go all out on her.
After that she'll start chasing me, this is where I die if im not careful, because I cant see behind me! In the room there is a cleft ( people usually leave notes there )
Its good to wait there till she is done rampaging and starts making magma, take care to not step on it and rinse and repeat.

Every boss area usually have something you can use to your advantage.

Here is my hallowed character

My STR and STA have me moving and rolling at the second fastest speed (about 35/100 weight load). This is rolling fast, but not so fast that you are a blur when you rise to your feet.

And I have never been able to get around her, she jumps right into my face and starts comboing with the sword. Not too hard to dodge in its own right, but I finally get a hit in and she does the aoe fire explosion. Goes through my full stamina and health bars every damn time. I read a guide that says to hit her when she spews magma, but the 4 times I've fought her she hasn't done it yet.

I'm level 45, do you remember what level you were when you fought her? Perhaps I need to level more, but every other boss/dungeon/difficult random creature has been a cake walk so far, so I assumed I was over-leveled.

Im guessing you do auto lock, I dont use that on bosses, it gets me killed since i like running around like a headless chicken xD

I usually run while listening to her scuttling behind me, and I turn side ways when I hear the spider part roar. When i see its safe, then i run back to her.

If you must autolock her, then be ready to just go on defensive till she pets her spider. When you see that, imediately stop autolock, sprint to her side and unload attacks.

I went through the first 7-8 hours without locking on...I couldn't get past Undead Burg, the first dang area. I don't have an instruction manual and there is no option to see the control scheme, so I must have missed it in the tutorial area. After I discovered it it made every fight much easier. I will try going naked and not locking on, I'll let you know how it goes!

Thats the thing about autolock, it sort of makes targetting easier, but it ruins how you run since you can only roll in arcs 0.o

It has to do with my weapon as well, I use BlackKnight Halberd, I only have enough endurance to swings twice, sometimes 3 times if boss is wide open.
This is why i have to run so i can gauge my endurance bar. Leaving it to drain by rolling around or blocking I dont like at all xD

What soul level are you? You're probably getting summoned by people on their NG+. Enemies hit a lot harder then. You may want to consider upgrading your armour. Also, if your vitality is low, you may want to consider increasing it. Most builds aim for at least 40 vitality.

What you want to do is actually get as close to her as possible. When she's swinging her sword, so long as your very close in and to her side (preferably her left), she can't actually hit you. Just swing away. Watch her human body very closely though. When she bends over, that's the time for you to get the hell out, or she'll send out a blast that will kill you in one or two hits. Rinse and repeat, dodging lava as necessary, until done.

Hitting her when she spews magma is dangerous, because she can easily go into another move without giving you time to escape, you can also easily get knocked into the lava and get hurt/stunned.

Level 30 should be good enough to beat Quelaag. Chances are that your character build is very unbalanced. Most standard builds (note that this is based around the PvP standard of SL120) tend to go for 40 vitality, 40 endurance (most important stat in the game! Every character should have 40 endurance), and then 40 in their preferred offensive stat (strength, dexterity, faith, or intelligence, depending on what kind of weapons you intend on using). Trying to raise too many stats at once will leave you weak in all areas.

Also, what weapon are you using? It's around this point that the Drake Sword starts to really show how terrible of a weapon it is. You should be using a weapon with decent scaling by now, and should be upgrading it as much as possible. For strength characters (at that point in the game), I recommend the large club, Zweihander, or Gravelord Sword. For Dex characters, I recommend the estoc, uchigatana, or Iato. For magic and faith characters, any weapon upgraded to an enchanted or divine path respectively should do the job.

I would seriously recommend investing in some endurance.

D: I enjoy being glass cannon, especially glass cannon of Dark Souls makes me proud xD

Though I do understand endurance is important, that I will do, HP Im not touching , 11 is enough for me xD

So far alot of the boss die in under 2 minutes, or in 12 -15 hits.
While I do get 1 shotted, the way i play means if i make no mistakes, its over fast, so fast that I wont make mistakes I guess >.<

I have played my friend's character before, it was hell. Sif took me 9 mins to finish lol......

Then your friend isn't building their character right :p

I can usually take down a boss like Sif in less than a minute. Faster on an NG+.

What's your stat build?

I'd recommend pumping endurance. Not only will it allow you to equip heavier equipment while still moving fast, making you more survivable, it'll also increase your damage output considerably by letting you get in more attacks before you drain your stamina. If you haven't fought the 4 kings yet, when you do, you'll understand exactly why having lots of stamina to keep attacking is so important.

The Black Knight Halberd is also a very weak weapon. Its R2 attacks are terrible (something shared by all the Black Knight weapons), its scaling is bad, and it can't be enchanted. I'd recommend using a Black Knight Greataxe (powerful, fast, good range, and fantastic swing arc) with your stats, or if you like polearm weapons, a Gargoyle Halberd or Scythe (the warscythe, not the grim reaper one, although that one's very good too).

The best way of beating Quelagg is, as stated, running in on her side and just beating the crap out of her, running away when she bends over.

Funny story, I once got her down to the last hit doing this method without being touched. Then I became careless, she did her shout, got me down to about 50 health, and pushed me into the Lava

For phalanxes, there are several ways to approach them. Weapons with a wide swing arc are solid, just run in there and start hacking away. Piercing magic of the Soulspear variety will kill a lot of them in short order, as will the Great Fire Ball pyromancy.

As for the toxic hollows, just roll away after the last hit on them. Or use ranged attacks. They're not nearly as horrible as the harpies. Oh god, the harpies.

Harpies don't actually bother me, it's the stupid "Kill one, get halfway toxified, wait a fair bit...... kill the other, get 3/4 toxified, wait a fair bit......." Rolling doesn't seem to work with my Claymore.

And are you saying to literally run into the middle of them?

I prefer to take them on one at a time, just poking them. You can't rush in with reckless abandon, but this is Dark Souls, when could you do that in the first place?

The slash'n'roll method works with my Murakumo, and that thing's a lot slower than a claymore.

I think they are. So damn irritating. Even with my level 80 bandit with Dragon Tooth they're a huge nuisance.

Also, anybody got tips on Sif for a level 40 Warrior? I currently use a +7 Knight Shield (planning on crafting it in to the Greatshield of Artorias once I've killed him), a Titanite Catchpole and the Eastern Armour set. Most of my stats are in strength (34), endurance (20) and dexterity (18). Every time he leaps away before I can get a hit on him then kills me with his double spin attack, where the first hit drains my endurance bar and the second breaks the block and takes away 80% of my health.
