I once used a hundred or so of these easter chicks as zombies, stuck them to square bases and everything back when I used a full necro VC army about 5-6 years ago, was incredibly awesome. Needless to say eventually I was made to stop but by then I had gathered up enough zombies to use xD

They're definitely not to be messed with really, they never lost a battle for the duration that I had them in place of zombies. Now I miss them, the good old days where they outnumbered won combat res and automatically caused people to flee for there lives and get chased down by a bunch of giant easter chicks.
Ironically I actually got away or allowed to do this proxying in the GW store for a couple of weekends back then.
Looking back at it, its kind of funny albeit Im unsure how I would react to playing stuff like that myself xD all I can say is at least I based them?

my friend wanted to try DE, so he bought the codex and Lillith. Since he didnt ahd any model, he used his SMs as proxies (i had agreed b4 hand, I wanted to see what I could do vs a de army!) So tac marines were normal warriors (frogot their names), his DCs were wyches, rhinos were skimmer, his LR was the big DE skimmer ( I really forgot all the names), mephiston was an archon, dreadnoughts were talos pain machines etc! With that I proxied my BigShoota boys for lootas (he could not really argue, lol). We had plenty of fun, it was just hard remembering the stats of all his proxies (and what the proxies were) but still fun.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

2)an eldar flying unit of FW (that one with 2 D weapons) made by Legos.
mind blasting after 8h of gameplay

One of my favorites was back before any of us had armies. We wanted to try things out with proxies before we did anything, and so various odds and ends usually wound up becoming armies. Two of them were absolutely great - one of them was me, playing Eldar, and my teammate, playing Necrons, against an army of tanks (using Armored Company rules). IIRC, both me and the Necron player were using d6s for our troops, and tanks wound up being Magic: the Gathering card boxes.
The second one was me, trying Chaos, against Necrons. Same setup as before, with tanks being card boxes and troops essentially being dice. About halfway through the game, we realize something odd - an entire unit of Necron warriors has vanished off the table. There was about a three-second pause, and the Necron player, who was about to roll shooting, just cried out, "I'm rolling them!"
Ahh, to be young again.
