So the other day I was waiting in line at a TacoBell, when I noticed this strange guy staring at me. He was either a male prostitute, or he knew me. So Just as I was about to speak up, he asks if Im KC from DAKKA. I laughed and said yea? And to my extreme surprise, it was Soladrin! Talk about a road trip eh? So we chatted over some imitation tacos and decided to play a game. The problem was, his army was over an ocean, and then some, and mine was at my brothers house awaiting to finish a game, but we REALLY wanted to play a game, one Ork against another! So not to be discouraged we decided, screw it, we will proxy a couple things, no big deal! So here are the lists and the run down.

Our set up, red is movement and yellows will be shooting. Lots of movement for me, mostly shuffling/getting into position.
Sol - Hauls his BWs up super fast! He must of covered a good 20 inches to deffroll my dreads! one pops, the other glances and laughs it off He moves his BigMek towards the objective. Nob Bikers/Biker boss follow the BWs idea and bull charge across the table! Man they look hungry! they kill a couple boyz, lucky me! We inturn kill 1 nob. Lootas shoot at a dread and weapon destroy....its foot or something I cant remember.





Turn 2
*Real quick, Sol, didnt like that his one BW only glanced and so wanted to reroll. I said sure man why not! So, that dread took 6 STR10 hits, and died*
KC - Ok, so some things happened, but it wasnt too bad, Ive weathered worse. Now Sols army is close enough, I can do some damage to things. So my one dread on the right, charges the BW, and turns it into scrap. My shootas/BigMek, move into some terrain, nothing special. Wounded dread marched into the big ol mess that is the bikerboss/nob bikers and boyz and dread. My dreads dont do a whole lot, kill a few, I lose more boyz. And lose a dread. Kindda sucky. My 2nd KFF BigMek is just kindda hanging around, slowly getting to the objective as well

Sol - He remembers his boyz in the back field, were meant for the BW, that I DIDNT blow up, man what a lucky guy ammirite? So they pour out of the BW, and assault my boyz and a fight ensues. The BW, deffrolls another dread into submition, and Im sad, it looked so good too! The Bikers CC doesnt really do to much, kills off boyz mostly, but I make my LD save as always (rerolling those things is just the tits, it took me 3 times that time) We some how forget that dread is even in the fight, so whatever. His BigMek moves closer to the objective, man he wants that thing!

Turn 3

KC - This turn sucked for both of us really. We got distracted when pizza arrived, and started to discuss the orphans in small African countries, and decided to hell with it, lets go and sign up for the Peace Corp! To which we discovered he couldnt because hes not American (RUDE!) and they told me Id have to shave my beard because of lice. To which I said no fething way! So on our way back we came! We forgot who did what, and REALLY only remembered that the Biker/dread mess hadnt gone yet. So to keep things fair, we just went with that for turn 3. And talk about SUCK! I missed with everything I had, twice even.

Sol - Throws out so many attacks I didnt even want to count em. But he did just as bad as I did, check this picture out! Ive never seen so many failed to hit rolls in my life

Yikes!

Turn 4
KC - Ok! Back on track, I decided to forget about how bad turn 3 was, and make some ground dammit!!!! My boyz/KFF Mek moved out of cover towards those damned Lootas! They shot the hell out of them, dropping them to 9, lucky I had Bigshootas in my boyz mobs (the picture shows 9 cents anyways, so must be 9) then I called a WAAAGH! And butchered those hookers! The assault of my boyz and Sols BW boyz ended pourly for me. I thought I was winning at first, but oddly, after I rolled my attacks, I think he got some more boyz back. Something about WBB *shrug* It was plenty annoying and borderline over powered, I mean he started off with 6 boyz, and after all those attacks I made, he walked away with 16boyz +nob! My dread FINALLY kills off the rest of the nob Bikers, and his Boss misses everything.

Sol - FETH YES WBB ROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *whooohoooooo!!!!he said that not me.) Secretly painted his BigMek now on the objective when I went to the bathroom, but lucky for met, left his "deffrolla" off, so when he went to deffroll MY KFF BigMek, he couldnt deffroll him because of no deffrolla. I thought it was odd that it wasnt there, but oh well more for me! So I decided Im going to teach him a lesson, and shoot my SAG at the BW. It was great...ish. I rolled a 12 and it landed on both the BW and my dread. So they were both sucked up into somewhere that wasnt my table. His boyz moved towards the Mek.






Turn 5
KC - Turns are getting shorter! My dread hits air, again. Im thinking he and Sols Biker Boss are honestly just laying on the side of a hill, under a tree, swatting at flies and shooting the gak. Because they both are on vacation I think. My SpaceMarine Captain charges Sols boys, and goes nuts! Calling down an Orbital Bombardment on his position! Very heroic I think. He dies, but he took some of those non green, green bastards with him! Then, I decided, that game is getting close to over, I need to KO his last boyz unit! So I move, run, and called another WAAAAGH! to get that extra distance over there!

Sol - Moves and WAAGH!s into the last boyz unit I have. Its a slug fest with WBB boyz all over the damn place! BigMek is still camouflaged in the terrain, he must of been a Kommando before his promotion. Anyways, Boss/Dread, must be looking at wedding magazines again, because they just lost all will to fight. Its just embarrassing.






Sadly the game ended, with the boyz just slapping each other around, the Dread and bikerboss I can happily say, they set a date for their wedding! I wasnt listening because I now hated them, but Im at least happy, they are happy right? Sol pulled off a win,( good job there Sol! Cant wait for the rematch!)


with his sneaky move to disguise his BigMek and hold the objective, I didnt mind, it was good fun, and rather action packed! I think we may have missed a couple rules, but it couldnt of been too bad, my rule book was at my brothers house along with my army, so I think we did rather well, for memory! Anywho, C&C on the BattleRep, I know I had a great time. The only thing was, after all that, Sol, still asked for gas money back to the Airport.

Good battle report. I thought the DeffDread should have gotten a 6+ ward save, but I think it wasn't in range of the Warcaster.

Was it? Or was it my imagination?

You didn't field grots!

Leaving the cap off the paint can sure seems like modeling for advantage to me, I probably would have called him on that. Other then that a great battle report, your tactics and list was sound.

Thats what I figured as well. Hell, Ill just say I forgot my skullhamma as well then


But yea, upon looking at the report, Chowder your right, the dread should of got that ward save. Oh well, keep that one in the memory banks

I ALMOST did go that route, but Sol was talking about taking Ghaz when I was writting my list. And you know the rules, there can be only 1! Ghaz on a single battlefield

But you can field mutliples of the same SC in apocalypse, so keep that in mind

Good report, I usually hate using proxies but I understand why you had to use it. Would have been stupid to pass up a game like this.

This looks terrible, and I'm sorry to tell you I can't follow most of the diagrams.

I can understand wanting to get the game, but you should have scrounged actual models.

But they were at other places doing other things

To be honest, I dont even think Orks can get a WBB roll....

Why didn't the orcs get the +1 strength in first turn of combat?

Also mangler squigs make any list better.
Take them if they can fit in your rare allocation.

Well done. While the proxying incrementally increased the need to pay closer attention to the pictures, the initial army layout of the proxies kept everything in line, so it wasn't too difficult overall.

As noted by other posters, you did forget your gretchin - which could have played a pivotal role against the battlewagons that were deffrolla-ing through your army by using the gretchin rules to stop their movement.

Also, you should consider using Death or Glory with your DeffDreads in the future - if you're getting hit by a Battlewagon's Deffrolla, you're probably going to lose the Deffdread anyway, so there's no reason not to try taking a battlewagon with you. If the DoG can punch through the cover save from the KFF, it's a good trade off.

Also worthy of note: I didn't really see you using your rokkits. If you're going to pay for them, you should use them. STR8 against open-topped battlewagons, add in furious charge is almost like having permanent tankbustas.

And finally (and most obviously) Flashgits would have been a good choice in your army list. I know you like using them, why would you leave them out this time?

A little hard to follow, but I loved the illustrations. Glad you guys actually got to play!

This is ridiculous. Everyone knows that air fresheners can only be proxied for Tau units (because their gak doesn't stink) and that all models within 6" of White Glue proxies count as moving in difficult terrain (but not dangerous due to its edible, non-toxic nature). Ork players have no imagination!

Looking at my ork 'dex, and it seems that it's technically army-wide FNP, not WBB.

Ok.....first off let me say, I am not a usually negative or cruel person..but WTF!!!

This was the single most incomprehensible Post I have ever read....I am fairly sure you have mixed at least 3 different codex rules and at least 2 seperate game systems together, how much booze did you have to drink during this game, or were you off your meds, or took to many!?

Next time if you truly want to play and cannot get your hands on any even remotley correct minis, go to the nearest wal-mart etc, and buy some green army men ( costs less than a few tacos from Taco bell ), and use those, at least there will be some coherency to them, and settle on one game system to use please...I think I developed brain cancer from reading that insanity.

Better yet strike what I said next time just have a food fight at Taco bell and pretend bean burritos are drop pods and the little onion bits are marines, throw packets of sauce at each other and eat the casualties...sound good!, ok now I made myself crave some junk food.

Seriously Amadala as a big mek, should have been ghazzy at the least!

I think the matchstick Ork boyz are obviously modelling for advantage.

@Soo'Vah'Cha I found it to be fairly easy to read, you just have to get past the proxies.
And I get the feeling that they were short of time, so I guess they didn't have time to go to walmart...
