Nids have lots of monstrous creatures. Some even as troop choices. (Tervigons)

Because of the Tervigon thing? I think it isn't too much of a problem if you have anti-tank goodness riding on your shoulders. A Tervigon isn't too much of a problem.

Sternguard are always the best solution to nids.

Scout snipers also work really well and scout heavy bolters.

That's true. Power klaws are very scary. They are the bane of my existence.

I'm not a fan of nobs with powerklaws leading units of large orks because for that powerklaw to do anything to a vehicle/monstrous creature, the rest of the boyz unit is absolutely worthless.

I think you should at least include a Power fist in every squad, or some other variant of the weapon to deal with walkers/tanks you encounter. Plus, it's not that bad of a weapon. Those Boyz seem like meat shields anyway to me.

I like it for the fact that its pretty much wounds on a 2+ and ignores armour. I just like making the most of the 30 man squad with him and tanks stop me. I suppose I'm saying I don't like walkers since they are the only unit that ties ork boyz up.

I love walkers so much. Dreadnoughts are one of my favorite units in all of 40k

When do you think you'll try them out/get the models.

Well, Orks right now are one of the last armies I'll do. (I rolled a die to see which ones I'd do in order) But I'm going to playtest them all first.

I know that when I bought orks I bought about 1500 points worth, I played 2 games with them and haven't played since. They were enjoyable, just the movement phase was to torturous.

I can already tell it will be annoying moving that many orks.

I had over 100 guys, so yeah, it kind of was. And the fact my opponent had lots of large blast meant I had to spread my orks out, meaning I couldn't just swipe my arm across the board.

Ew, large blast templates. The enemy of hordes

Whirlwinds and orbital bombardments are really annoying. Thunderfire cannon's are the most annoying small blast template.

That necron guy who can cause wounds on anything in a unit on a 4+ that must be irritating.

TFC's are only good vs Horde armies, or armies with units that have low weaknesses.

Iv'e tried out a thunderfire cannon but haven't bought one.
Still, against orks and swarm nids they are devastating.

They only work against those armies and horde imperial guardsmen. Against MEQ's... It doesn't do anything.

I doubt it nwould do much. A deveststaor squad with missile launchers would do about the same. Though I do here TFC are effective against paladin armies for the slowing effect.

It makes moving terrain, so it's annoying, but it won't outright kill any MEQ's

I suppose for some people slowing grey knight paladins is the bets some people can do.
