A list of gretchin? I can see the kans with potential but the 6 squads of gretchin?

Too bad there's not a gretchin hq. I have seen one full gretchin apoc size list. It's the only way that gretchin work by themselves, in insanely massive hordes supported by kans (which are still officialy gretchin).

In an apoc, it is an insanely large sized army. The h.q's were mek with KFF's. It was actually pretty deadly. THe only problem was a ton of large blast templates.

Unfourtanelty, even low strength and no ap blast templates obliterate gretchin.

Yes havoc launchers and deathwind missile launchers. I think thunderfire cannons would be painful as well.

They would be more painful than either of those. Against any army that isn't horde, the TFC is totally useless IMO

don't know if its been brought up but big mechs troop dreads are scoring.

and before you whip out your book remember two things. .

troops are scoring and codex takes precedence for your specific race.
ergo orks can have scoring troop vehicles. just thought to bring that up.

It actually said's specifically in a rule book that troops do not count as scoring units if
it is a vehicle
It is a swarm
It has a special rule specifiying it doesn't count as.
I checked it up after it was said.
Dread's coutn as troops but not scoring untis, as it doesn't specifically say it counts as a scoring unit.
No matter how much I wish otherwise.

I was hoping it had been a misread when I heard it, then I checked it up. I thnik they should count as scoring units, but that's a matter of opinion.

It should be a rule that is given to them when taken in the troop slot imo. Or a special leader that gives them the rule (Like Pedro and Sternguard)

Yeah. Well in one of the imperial armour's, there's a tank army that has leman russ's as troop choices. That means the list has pretty much no scorign units whatsoever because IIRC, it is the only troop choice.

I think it is only meant for annihalation or tabling your opponent. I think there are a lot of people who would be thrown off by it.

Well, a DC army isn't bad, but for scoring games, it isn't good at all.

Yeah. Troops are essential to anyone's army, not only because they're required.

The Big Mek makes the Deff Dread a troops choice, but it is still a vehicle and is not a scoring unit, though it can contest objectives like any other unit can(which vehicles do).

By becoming a troops choice, it doesn't become a scoring unit, it just means that you aren't taking a heavy support slot for it

I think they are even more important in rosk then most other armies.

How good is a Deff Dread btw?

It's a matter of opinion, but I think they are great, but generally, only give them close combat weapons when upgrading them, nothing else.

So, a bigger CC unit?

Yaeh, they are pretty much better than a dreadnought in CC and worse than it at range.

Then again, my army will be too fast for it to keep up with my guys, so I think it's kind of pointless to get.
