That's really quite good.

Finished five Zoanthropes this afternoon.

Also added this guy:

Yes, that's a Tyranid Warrior's chestplate mated to a Marine backplate. It's the first time I've used a Dremel tool on anything, I feel silly for having never explored the possibilities there. It opens up a lot of things that I'd have never thought to try.

What made that even more of an adventure is that I bought the base Outrider already assembled as part of a batch of second-hand models. Trying to cut it without damaging anything I wanted to keep was a real challenge.

Pretty pleased with the results. Now I just have to pray that the White Scars relic bike survives into the next Codex Supplement so the model stays legal.

Finished two units of Irregular ancient infantry.

The only thing left to paint this year is a Nativity Scene. I have all ready started it, but just need to finish.

Almost caught up with the July deluge. Infinity Defiance is mostly done. Need to finish up the expansions, but the bulk of it is ready to go. Also completed my Bushido armies.

Next up is some Spiderman villains and then back to Infinity. I really want to get the backlog there clear before all the new Malifaux stuff starts rolling in.

Finished three more Centurions.

Also took my small pile of Custodes that I was never going to buy the Forveworld models to play properly and put them up for sale at my LGS, and remarkably they sold in less than 20 minutes. So naturally I added another box of Inceptors to pad out the minimum squads I already own and the second Gladiator I keep eyeballing to the pile.

Good weekend. Finished up all the available MCP stuff. Wrapped up a few new Shasvastii releases to get that army complete. Finished the last two models I own from Knight. Probably not buying any more if I can avoid it. Also randomly finished Ironskullz Boyz from Shadespire. Also probably the last of that game I'll paint.

Sent a pile to auction and hoping a good chunk sold as well. Next up is my O-12 Infinity stuff from Defiance followed by the remaining heroes. Definitely feeling like I'm getting a better handle on the back log. Hoping to complete Infinity and then deal with my extra Malifaux.

I still have that Nativity Scene left to do...... however, I do have this to share on my blog.....

One of my goals for 2021, was to buy the Victrix Viking set to paint up. I have the rules for a Viking age wargame in draft stage, and I needed models to populate the pages of the book. I also need them for some playtesting and blog promotions. I did not expect to get to them this year, as I was going to have to paint a lot of Romans!

Well, in a big surprise to me I finished painting them all up! That was 60 Vikings that I pretty much batch painted all at once! This is not a process I recommend to the sane wargamer or painter. The process I took was pretty simple and followed my normal approach.

This week's blog is all about the ugly process....

I think I made some realistic goals to end the year and wrap some things up. I want to get fully into GSC as my next years project and I hope, writing these goals down, will help me stay focused and motivated.

Imperial Guard:
2x Leman Russ
3x HWT with Bolters

19x Genestealers
10x Gargoyles
1x Tyrannofex

Space Wolves:
2x Redemptor
5x Incursors
5x Assault Intercessors
5x Intercessors
3x Aggressors
3x Eliminators
4x Jump Pack Wolf Guard

Around 15 Uruk-Hai Scouts

Lets to this. Last quarter of 2021 goo!

Finished a block of ten Tyranid Gargoyles.

Also, I pulled a Biker Sergeant that I never use and converted him into a Khan on a relic bike (although I'm resolved to not do that sort of thing to anymore painted models, even if I do really like how this one turned out) and picked up some ballast and course turf to finally do something about my plain brown bases.

I've made some huge dents lately and am likely to do a bit more soon. I've all but cleared my terrain for Batman/Fallout (just a couple details and then posters/graffiti), all my stuff for The Other Side is being finished far quicker than I thought and the things I have bought (Fallout and Guild Ball mainly) are finished already. Now that I have a quick British military paint scheme I'm also planning on painting all my Bolt Action soon because it will be just as quick to do and clears another game off. It's at the point where Malifaux is the big one in terms of being unpainted, but I'm waiting for Black Friday to finish most of the crews I have unpainted so I can do them all at once.

I mainly play skirmish games, but am still fairly active with 40k. I play Warcry, Arena Rex, Middle-Earth, Blood Bowl, Batman, Star Wars Legion and The Other Side as well, but my main game is Malifaux.

Finished painting up my Librarian/Ironclad Dreadnought, but I finally broke down and bought a second Suppressor squad on EBay (bad Newman!) because it's been so long since Shadow Spear came out and they still haven't released a stand-alone kit for them. Lord knows why, although I'd hazard a guess that they're having a hard time coming up with another uniquel Primaris gun that makes sense for the Omnis armor and don't want to go the three-man Lightning Claw unit route. Which would admittedly be terrible.

Finished up my O-12. Now all I have left from Defiance is the extra heroes. I've also go a new Bushido figure to paint up and a few Warcaster models to wrap up. Hoping that I'll soon be done with the Infinity backlog and able to move on to Malifaux. Backlog is definitely at a new low.
