A little belatedly, but since it was mentioned earlier...

What's a plectrum?

A wee triangular piece of plastic that you use to strum a guitar without having the strings rip your fingers apart.

We had that problem too, I used to take my own!

Yep, yet the w,e,r,s and d are what is screwed up. Thankfully I had a better keyboard around anyway, but at this point it may as well be a desktop.
