These are just temporary jobs until college and the military stuff, it's still not worth stressing over, like 10-hour bus-boy shifts when I may be able to get similar money, less-laboriously elsewhere.
Military huh? What branch?

ROTC people dont really go to OCS, they get a commission (usually in the Army Reserve) after completing their programat school. While they are in school they go through a bunch of "officer" training. So I guess it would be like saying they are going to college with a dash of OCS included.

My wallet hurts..
11000! thats a lot of necrons, ever get to play them all at once?
I actually did one time and let me say this
6 monoliths and a pylon are pretty hard to take down (old living metal rules)
That and the storm callers war cell is pretty nasty also. detroyer lord and 9 wraiths, along with the reconstruction scarabs asset is a nasty combo. Wraiths have 2++ plus the reconstrucion scarabs will repair next turn on a 2+ and count as being within range of a res orb.
19 lascannons and a Baneblade only managed to wound the nightbringer once and immobilise a monolith 1st turn. I really felt kinda bad actually. It was IG and BA though against my mass metal army.
I guess to add to this poster...
You know that sinking feeling when your parking lot fails to do anything first turn.... and the green energy is starting to flicker atop monoliths galore... tasty pie

The way I understand it is you go through school while doing regular reserve training, after graduation, you do regular service and go through NCO training and then Officer training (leaving as a 2nd lieutenant) , then finish your required time (4 years) before deciding whether or not to reenlist.

Its just a game. If some 40yr old nutbag living with his parents takes a game so seriously as to calculate which toy soldiers are better, then his problem.

Math Hammer , I prefer to use random units and just throw them randomly at the enemy

I'm not 100% but I really doubt you do NCO training or Officer training, you would have to either become a NCO through enlisted service, or go through OCS and become an officer. All the ROTC guys I served with basically told me it was a waste of time after wards because the only benefit (other than being really moto when going in, which is annoying as hell lol) is you get the automatic e-2 promotion in boot camp (that everyone can get).
Do you get like college credits or some sort of tuition grant or something?

Ohhhhh, so it's like only for reserves commission? huh, thats.. wierd lol. I guess that makes sense though. That's still funny they can get a commision without OCS tho. huh.

Yeah, Four-year scholarship for four years of service in the Army, National guard, or Reserves, and according to the Army's website, ROTC enlistees receive commissioned officer training and service after graduation.
Edit: here's the quote from their site: "Army ROTC graduates are commissioned as U.S. Army Second Lieutenants. They then receive specialized training in one of 17 different Army branches. During their Army careers, they'll receive regular professional training as they advance through the ranks, and they'll have many opportunities for advanced leadership positions and post-graduate education. You do regular college stuff while going to ROTC classes every so often for your entire college career. There are regular physical exams and educational exams for ROTC class, and expect to be wearing a uniform all the time. After four years, you have your degree, your commission and an obligatory service term, depending on a couple of thing. Usually it's four years.
You usually have to pick a degree that would serve as an incentive for the army to even send you in the first place(can't think of one, but nothing like liberals arts). I'm not sure, but I think after you graduate, there are some final courses that they make you go through before you're sent to your first duty station, plus addition MOS training and all that jazz. After that, you might decide it's not for you, retire as a lieutenant and go on with your life, degree in hand. Or, you might decide that you love the service and stay in for 40 years and retire as a Colonel or something.
Being an Officer is a big deal, and it's not for everyone. Just do the best you can, and keep your ears open and your mouth closed :3
I'm going enlisted, mainly because I'm too lazy to even try to shoot for officer. I don't consider myself a good leader or a reputable person, but I might have the brains for it. I think I'd be doing my fellow sailors a favor by NOT being an officer. I sure know I wouldn't want to listen to me.
