I noticed this, too. It's pretty lame.

And there's no mods! An elder scrolls game without mods is like... a WoW player without cheetos or something.

Can't say much for anyone else, but I personally will not play FO or TES games on console. I have a PS3, and there are many games that will only be purchased for PS3, but for me, FO and TES games played on computer is just how I've always done it, and I prefer to stick within my more comfortable gaming structures. I also cannot say how the graphics stack up for PC vs. 360, but from what I have seen of the game on PS3, it looks similar enough in graphic beauty for me to basically think it could be swapped (basically, I wouldnt be able to tell the difference unless I saw the source, or was told)

That remark was aimed at Grey Templar. I know most people prefer TES games on pc because of mods.
But that's not exactly what he said I'm just getting tired of people who think they are somehow better because they game purely on the PC.
For me, PC is purely reserved for high skill games (DOTA, UT2K4). Couldn't care less about the rest. I prefer playing TES games on console, because a controller is just way more immersive for me. As for FO.... Let's just say I think the new ones aren't that good....

PCs arn't all that expensive when you factor in that it isn't just a gaming platform.
Can an xbox or PS3 check e-mail, surf the web, or create a word document?
You pay more for a very useful machine that can do everything.
I can also upgrade my PC with the latest Video cards or processors if the technology advances. with game consoles, you gotta buy a new device.
The only console I have is a Wii.

While the PC version obviously has better graphics it's not that big of a difference between the 360 and pc version. Plus I can't afford a new computer at the moment so 360 version it is.

Exactly.
For the price of a console and a low-end computer, you can build a computer that will play most modern games.

Good thing people posting here don't already have a pc, which is often older.
And really for the price of a console and a low end computer, you get a pc that won't run the same graphics said console will.

I don't see how it pertains to Skyrim

True, there are plenty of mainly multiplayer games that are better on a console, fighting and racing games etc, for the obvious benefit of being able to get people round one computer.

Don't have Skyrim on PC but I do have New Vegas and that looked immeasurably better than Skyrim. I mean the rock textures make me feel physically sick. Plus all the vegetation looks square and weird.
Also knocking consoles' graphics ability != knocking consoles. Thing is 6 years old, and it looks it.

Well, with a bit of knowledge about computers and the Internet, you wouldn't have a problem with viruses. User error is an inherent part of computing.
Battle Brother Lucifer wrote:and Nerivant, you prove my point, you pc gamers are spoiled, you need to change all your games so they suit you better
Uh, no. First of all, PC gamers, spoiled? That's hilarious.
Second, I enjoy games that can't be modified just fine. I don't "need" to change them.
Third, if I have the ability to improve a game and my enjoyment of it through means available to me, I'd have to be an idiot to not do it.

Nah it doesn't, and my original statement wasn't about the hardware at all. It's purely the attitude that ticks me off. I have a high end PC too, but I just don't get why people see that as a reason to be able to scoff at someone who doesn't.

Only people I know who obsess over mods are console gamers, actually.
Because they're so unique and creative and special, so their game has to reflect that.

I wasn't scoffing. Just saying the graphics are ugly, which they are.

First off, is it doable? We'd need someone who's good with creating new environments, because AFAIK there aren't any railroad-esque things we can use.
No use having a quest and nowhere to base it.
