Wow. That's pretty incredible. I don't think you can tell the GW Valkyrie apart from the Forgeworld original.

Two questions.

1) Why are there Tallarns in that case? That's odd.

2) Is it weird that I am also super jazzed about the new stand it comes on? [I had nightmare visions in my head of GW trying to fit these on little flying bases...ugh.]

They were probably doing a showcase on several old Guard models as well.

Those Catachan models also look oh-so fragging tasty. The Primaris Psyker looks rugged and fierce, even the Ratlings look great and more 40k.

Damn it, for the first time in years I'm giddy as hell for the hobby again!

looks like two original Guardsmen are in those cases, a Tallarn and a Valhallen maybe just to show all army types, they are both carrying original lasguns

and yeah, i am gonna need a bunch of those valks...

soon i can dust off my Tallarn Slammers...

Wow.... just updated my cadians to over 2000 points, now im gonna have to do a lot more...

Valks are amazing, ratlings are suprisingly cool, commisar lord is great, psykers are pretty cool... only thing im not 100% on is the command sprue, but i bet theres enough on there to make it worth while...

glad the valk looks like it comes with spare heads, will make it easier to make some downed pilot objective markers...

Yay!! New Catachans look to be a reality!!

I'm liking the new models, I liked the old models where everyone else hated, but I do like the new ones and will happily my a truckload of them.

I'm hoping the old and new cadians and catachans will mix up happily without being too distinct between the two, otherwise things will suck a bit.

No new sentinel stuff yet, or any confirmed tank variants... but plastic valk and cool new character models are making me a happy bean. The "ssshhh" crouching catachan looks awesome, like a manling Snikrot.

New ratlings? Dear god why? Horrid things, I still hate them. I just want normal human sized snipers.

I like that they're updating the Ratlings, but I still wish the little bastards weren't part of the Guard. The new command units don't look bad at in my opinion. Looks like they are resculpting the Catachans, can't tell about the Cadians but that'd be gravy.

Love the commisar lord, love the psyker, love the ratlings. The kneeling Catachan guy looks like he's about to pick his nose.

Great job OP on bringing us actual pics of the long awaited mystery guards!

I'm sorry but the 'Ratlings' are Squats without the beards! Some of the faces are even identical to some of the old Squat bikers!

It does make me wonder how the stand goes under the Valkyrie. Will it have a special slot for it or will you be required to glue it to the stand?

I noticed on the sprue that there's one piece that has a cross-shaped slot in it, presumably for the base.

Have the Catachans had their arms scaled down at all? I really can't tell. Anyway what I'm assuming is the Commissar Lord is my fav from that lot.

TBH the catchans looks 100% the same to me lol.
( other then the new poses / weapons )

Not happy with new rattling snipers either... they look like buffed dwarves
instead of frail halflings.

I really like the new valkries as i can use there bits to fix my forgeworld one!.
The rattlings look just plain dumb. It looks like the sculptors tried to make them look like bad dudes and failed.

Like the specials though cant wait having them as a mandatory part of my list due to special rules!!!

Actually I take that back. On comparing the current models and these the new ones are scaled down quite a bit. The current ones are just freaky.

I always thought ratlings were a stupid idea, till I saw this post.

And the valk just looks awesome.

plastic valk will make a fine fights bomba

but i dont like the rats, prefered the old ones, these ones just look like basic guard missing thier thighs.

Honestly, I don't like the Ratlings. I think I can live without them.

The Catachan and Cadian stuff is great. I can see several Command Squad boxes in my future.

The Commissar is awesome. Must get him. The Primaris Psyker is an interesting take on an old idea. Not a 100% sold on him, but as he's another unique looking character I'll no doubt get him. Love the Santioned Psyker with the hood though, he's got a lot of character.

The Valk's great. The base is interesting (GW has always been terrible at making flying bases that work, so here's hoping that thing slots into the Valk at least half an inch so it doesn't keep falling off). From the pics it appears the wepaons are nose HB, side Lascannon, door HB's, and then wing Hellstrike rockets, rocket pods, or both. No sign of Autocannons or anything.

The sideburns on the Ratlings are what sold them to me. I also do like the look of the blunderbuss-style sniper rifles.
