Well I htink they're done a super job with the Iron Lilly.

I agree it's cool the teddy bear made it through from the concept art.

Cant wait till she arrives for paint!

The model from concept to actual model gives me a lot of hope for all the special models. I'm super excited for them now that I'm more confident of the end product (not like I wasn't that confident given it's being overseen by the McVey's)

Yes a fantastic looking sculpt, very true to the artwork and bursting with detail. Nice to see we have not been forgotten!

That is a great sculpt, kind of regretting not adding that one in. I just went for the basic set when all was said and done.

I was expecting normal styrene plastic models though. I kind of worry a little though when it comes to resintasitc models, thanks to GW's finecast debacle, and considering they have to mass produce 4000+ sets. But I'm betting the McVey's will have much better quality control.

By basic you mean the $80 or the $100 one? Because it is included in the Biohazard ($100) level.

Only two issues with the figure. First, work boots with high heels look silly. Second, McVey really should look at Adam Poots' work over at Kindgom Death to see how he could improve on sculpting female faces. Outside of that, this really is a great figure. Very much looking forward to getting my two Biohazards and assorted extras.

Yes the face is a bit of a letdown, a good paintjob should fix 'er up though!

Good figure, I am happy how close to the concept art this one is, hopefully the others are as good.

I doubt that it was sculpted by Mike McVey...

The face is a little butch, although it will reshape slightly in casting and clever painting can make up for a lot. It's a superb rendition of the concept art, though. Definitely a fan.

If it's anything like Mantic's sprueless plastic, it's _amazing_. I just put together the Gore Riders that I just got from my Orc army Kickstarter - it's durable, has super high detail, it's so easy to work with. I hope more companies use it, it's better than metal and the level of detail around all sides makes it better than sprued plastic in some aspects.

Agree with the above - I just got my Mantic stuff which included some "restic" Wraiths - lovely material, no casting imperfections.

Why oh why can't Citadel do something similar instead of the dreadful Finecast?

They can, all three FC that I have are great casts. I just think they rushed the implementation and the Internet has jumped on it and blown it out of proportion.

Either way GW did themselves no favours in not having a more public announcement on the products flaws and what they were doing/done to rectify it.

I have no worries with CMon or more specifically Studio McVey.

Sadly its not out of proportion. I've only bought a few finecast figures, but I contacted GW to sort out replacements for a Mordor troll and a box of Sword Brethren. Guess what? Faults in both of the replacement items.

My only FC figure was bought recently - A terminator librarian. £15 and had plenty of air bubbles and the staff was horrendously bent - Thankfully I wanted to use a spare metal arm with a sword anyway...

I for one am steering clear of any further FC purchases.

Anyway, let's get back on topic...

Too bad I couldn't get in on this, didn't really have the money when Sedition Wars was going. Might still pick up the game later but I'm not getting 300 models like everyone else, lol...

Really disgusting!

I can see games of Sedition Wars being awesome, especially for the more imaginative it will become so tense trying to protect your guys from this kind of stuff!

They are doing a great job, al four thumbs up!

@Finecast

Got me two Dark Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower and one Unit of Dark Eldar Mandrakes. Throwers looked like cork-screwers and Mandrakes started to crack after a few days in the drawer. That was one year after the introduction of Finecast. Tried several exchanges but alwys the same result. Now I wouldn't touch Finecast even with a 60 feet pole....

Regarding Lily - is it just the viewing angle or is her right arm bent very strangely?

I've heard that the material SedWars figures will be in is like the "restic" that both Mantic and Privateer Press uses, and I have not heard anything bad about either of those companies minis that are in that medium, other than weirdos that are mad because they have to use superglue instead of plastic glue.

Yeah, and it's way cheaper than metal or finecast. What, like ten restic Wraiths is what, $25 retail? approve!

Sorry for the offtopic. Yes, I hope Sedition Wars is using restic or trollcast or whatever resinyplasticy goodness.

Love the bonecrabs! This time they look even better than the concept as the head part has been shrunk a bit, very detailed for such a small model.
