Hi,

Appreciate C & C on my Deathguard list. The only proviso re suggestions is that I am not interested in adding a second Daemon Prince nor in converting him to a Lash Prince.

Ahhh....I love a themed Death Guard army. Now then.

The only real thing that popped in my empty head was to be careful and pace yourself when using the Daemon Prince. Far too many times myself I've swung him out too wide or out there thinking his T:6 and 3+ save will protect him, only to see him smited by massed small arms fire.

Maybe change the Warptime on the Prince to Nurgle's Rot, to give you some horde-murdering power.

I think it looks good. Like 'glitch said, N-rot instead of warptime or maybe even wind for hordes.

If you're going to use Wind of Chaos for anti-horde work, it should be on a Tzeetchian Daemon Prince in combination with Warptime. Templates are big, but that 6" radius of effect (not including the +30mm radius from the model's base) makes up for the quality with quantity. Also, it can be used in close combat and against models in close combat, which is good because a Daemon Prince outside of combat is a relatively soft target.

Yes, our father provides. This list would have trouble against ork hordes at this points level. Rot fixs that.

I have to ask, what would you use the icons for? Deepstriking the DP? The Oblits should be deployed normally so they can put down covering fire.

Icons were there because I was unsure where to spend the last 10 points?

Any thoughts?

Demon prince with warptime is nasty.. all i can say. but, those icons... aren't those waste points? those give you 10 points, wich you can use for one of those rhino's for something. just my opinion. further: nice list, nice to see the Death guard list again

Good idea....10 pts buys a combi-weapon for a Rhino

Always stick combi-melts on Rhinos if you don't absolutely need them somewhere else. Switching Warptime to Rot and dropping the Icons should free up 2, maybe 3 Combi-melts if you are 1745 ATM.

You could take one squad of Nurghal Marines with 2x flamer and a combi flamer for the champion... That will help to soften up the hordes. The walking squad could be points spent elsewhere... possibly a defiler.

Perhaps dropping the walking squad and having either more oblits or some termies with combi meltas for some extra anti tank as i think you are lacking, oblits will help immensely just for versatility.

Or a second DP and with Rot perhaps?

What about dropping that last squad, the icons and a Rhino and take a squad in a possessed Land Raider? Rhinos scatter for other objectives while the Landraider and DP head straight for the enemy's objective. You have to mass the Rhinos together to get into a fortified position (unlike a Land Raider), thus limiting your mobility as a whole. In KP, use it as a distraction from your Rhinos by sitting it in the mid-field and laying down fire.

I agree with Darkhound, 99MDeery, and others..

You have plenty of troops, so droppimg the ones on foot for some of the selections in the HS or Elite slots would be great. I would go for either more Oblits, a Vindicator w/DP, a Deep Striking Termie Squad with Combi-Meltas (and maybe a Chain-Fist), or a Land Raider w/ DP. (or a combination of that, as points allow)
