Cypher and the Fallen Angels seem to have some cool fluff.
I am under the impression very few people use Cypher and that is why I ask the following question.
Does anyone play a fluffy and competitive Fallen Angels list surrounding Cypher as the HQ?
If you do, please show it off and provide pics if you have them

good point
there are not any rules in the current C: CSM and obviously not in the C: SM so......
no i guess not. What is GW doing selling a $17 Cypher mini for then?!
Well I guess the topic stands now as: does anyone run a Fallen Angels army? One with a 'counts as' Cypher is preferable...

There are rules for Cypher in the 1999 CSM codex, but I don't think there's anything after that. That would go a long way to explaining why no one uses the poor guy.

There are a few choices you can pick from to represent Cypher such as a Chaos Lord with mark of undivided. I would kit him with a deamon weapon and a plasma pistol. You could take a squad of Chosen to represent his Fallen retinue. Seeing that there are never a lot of Fallen in any one place you have to decide how best to go about fielding the rest of your army. Cypher and his retinue used to be an option for IG and that is where I see him best fitting haven inflitrated a local PDF. Nowadays you pretty much have to go all CSM.

For my chaos army I am making a squad of 10 Fallen as chosen. Each individual will be unique in appearence as well, they are fallen, so they should be.

Dark angels codex says that cypher appears with a whole bunch of fallen but he never fights. If you are making a fluff army, then cypher shouldnt fight. Oh and he can't get captured or killed. Seems like a useless model to me.

It doesn't say he never fights, just that he never unsheaths the sword that he always carries on his back.

Yes, itsn't it the legendary broken sword of Johnson? Should he finally complete his quest and reforge the sword, he'll bring it back to The Rock and that crazy dude... the one who betrayed Johnson.. you know who I'm talking about, will lead them to where Johnson is and awaken him and start the Star Child Prophecy (which isn't cannon, so is any of this cannon anymore?).
Anywho, the sword is broken, so there really isn't anyway to represent him with a Chaos Lord. I suppose you could use a Chaos Sorcerer with Doombolt (failing the test could count as his pistol overheating). Blast, we need less of Lucius the Eternally Useless and more renegade legends.

You ever try to swing at someone w/ a broken sword?
It's still unknown as to whether it is indeed the Lion sword or not. We still don't know.

First off..... Lion El Johnsons sword was stated to be the only thing capable of penetrating the golden throne. Second off..... Cypher is on a course not to the rock, but to Terra..... and since 2+2=4 Cypher plans on killing the Emporer, using Lion El's Sword and releasing the Emporer's spirit so that he can ascend to godhood. And the Emporer seems to be cool with this, as he seems to be helping Cypher each step of the way.

Unfortunatly for the Emporer, his soul is still trapped to his body, and so he needs that severed to become a god. Anyways, here's two lists for the Fallen. The first one is a more conventional Fallen army, where as the second one better represents the fact that they're 10,000 years old and are tough as nails to kill.
