@ CapitanS - Thanks mate, yeah they're a slight kit bash using a mix of mantic ghoul and zombie parts. They're a tad smaller then your standard GW stuff but for my needs they're fine.
@ Rogue - Haha cheers mate. I was gonna try and make a penis/pipe joke here but I'm too tired.
@ PDH - Thanks man, theres 11 in total to do (I was ment to make 12 but didn't have enough resin bases and wasn't gonna order another pack just for 1 model)
However I really should have just built one model at a time, then painted it, then built the next and so on, like how you do.
At the mo. I've got all these staring at me, and then the actually Scavvies to do, plus theres my Inq. bunch and also a half started Gorkamorka idea too, feeling a bit overwhelmed

Ah the awful feeling of too much to do. One or two models at a time helps me get everything done, it also means you have a regular breaks from modelling or painting. But on the bright side Its a good learning curve for the next project.

Yeah mate thats how I will work after I've cleared this back-log.
So my planned stuff so far:
Necromunda: Van Saar gang (The Crimson Ghosts), Enforcers (Precinct XIII) & Goliaths (The Savage Huns or The Die Hunns, something like that.)
Gorkamorka: The Immortal Sand Wraiths Of The Five Dunes (Muties) & Da Green Skull Boyz (Gorka Orks)
Inquisitor 28mm: Various ideas, a few more rogues but first some good guys: The Brotherhood Of The Steel Chalice.
and once those are all done, maybe have a look at Mordheim and Blood Bowl... oh god!
sennacherib wrote:GW should revamp the system.
Thanks Sennacherib, aw its by far my fav game (Gorkamorka being a very close second though I may add)...however I have to strongly disagree with you here.
I think its best left as it is/was. The whole game is wonderfully broken and over complicated in places, but its great because of it. Every update I've read has disappointed me (bar the odd sensible new ruling, like "high impact weapons" or the change to the way you shoot with sustained fire) as they try to dumb it down, remove all exploits, and make it more 40k-esque...it doesn't need that you just need to use your common sense and embrace the rpg element and all will be well in the Underhive! Get ya-self the original rules set mate

Hey man nice ooze
Don't think it pulls too much from the model, if anything I think it highlights the eyes.
And for my two cents, start painting whatever you're excited to paint first. That does leave you with all the boring ones last but you'll have done half and might've come up with interesting ways to paint them.
P.S.
And so glad other people miss mold lines sometimes as well

I agree GW need to go back and revamp the rules. No rewrite but they should just tweak them. I think they should totally rewrite the outlanders rules though. So since GW have left it to the community to keep Nercomunda alive.....
I love these Nercomunda rules...Anthony Case's Nercomunda Community Edition.
http://anthony-case.me.uk/necromunda
These tweak the main rules and clear up some mistakes and adds clarification. There are a few new rules that I like eg Plasma Gun overheats. Shame it doesn't redo the outlanders and outlaws. I really like the revamped skills tables....all the skills can be used. eg no more bulging biceps heavy only skill...but you can get a suspensor in rare trade. Also brought back characters ending up on fire. I like this rules edition so much I've even printed them out.

@ Two Spartan - Thanx man Ah I really have to do this, this way round. If I balls up a zombie due to lack of skill I can just strip it or chuck it away, no big loss, but my other bits took so long I'd be gutted but I totally agree with what you're saying and even think if you find something a bit boring or you're not really feeling it you'll end up rushing it and it won't look as good but what can you do eh? And yeah speaking of rushing, the mold line is the proof!
@ PDH - Hmmm, I dunno Peter, I don't like change ...haha I'll have a look at these rules later. As for Digganob, check your PMs.

So has everyone seen all the new munda-terrain blogs popping up on here over these last two weeks?
I for one have been very impressed with what these guys have been up to...I think I'm gonna have a go myself.
However, I am: A. I'm well skint ATM, B. Our flat is not all that big with no real storage space at all, & C. I really have a real soft spot for cardstock and the card scenery like those GW used to make in the '90s.
So with those conditions in mind and the fact I've been "re-visiting" Borderlands a lot on the Xbox recently, I think I'm gonna try and build some all card battlefields with that cartoony cell-shaded feel to them.
I want to make two full boards:
1. The Underhive - and more specifically a really nasty bit my Scavvies would feel happy to call home
2. A Desert Wasteland - thinking Gorkamorka meets Borderlands/Fallout:New Vegas.
Just opened the ol'ebay a/c back up and have managed to pick up some original bits as a start.
Does anyone know how to make a custom 'board game' board, that can be folded away, like the one Blood Bowl is played on? Is there a limited to how big you can make these that can still be folded down or would you have to break it into pieces?

Storage is a bit of a nightmare for Necromunda terrain, luckily for me that is someone else's problem - the boards are at a friends house. I've seen a lot of cardstock scenery websites with pdfs you can buy etc. I'm not sold on the idea personally as I can't imagine it looking grimy and rusty enough for my tastes, and it would be a shame if you didn't paint it.
Gorkamorka was really cool, I was thinking of using the Ash Waste rules rather than the Ork setting. I think one problem is that you need to base every model on smaller bases so they can pile into little trucks. I'd love to make a full Mad Max style Ash Wastes/Gorkamorka board, with a fort that uses a lorry as a gate etc. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
No real idea for the board game thing - I would say maybe make it from MDF laser cut details, and hinges on the underside. I'm also very tempted to do a Blood Bowl pitch and team...

Bruticus, I like your style dude
I think I'd get most of the bits from World Works Games downloads. Their stuff looks so video game-esque its amazing. Only question is how can I cut them up and make it more unique?
Maybe work in a few classic plastic 'munda-bulkheads for that proper 1990's feel

I like your style too, I think your scavvy gang would just be perfect for a battle against my cyber gladiatiors - I can see it now, there'd be bits of zombie everywhere!
I love the classic bulkhead bits. If you use them though they can make the cardboard bits you slot in get a bit dog eared, it'd be worth protecting the card where it fits together.

I'm in the West Midlands
I spent a while looking for ideas for game boards that could be folded away, I'm not sure what game you had in mind but I like the idea of doing a bloodbowl pitch myself, and I found this stuff which I think would work for a transportable (you can roll it up even when painted) board for bloodbowl, heroquest etc. I'm tempted. Also I found this.

I ran across this a while back (I think Moltar sent me the link maybe?) but finally getting around to posting. Absolutely incredible conversions. I seek out threads like this because I'm an old Necromunda player and enjoy the "nearly anything goes" aspect of conversions, weapon swaps, "counts as", etc options. You are taking that aspect and expanding the boundaries. Excellent work all around. Thanks for sharing this. Subbed and I'll be back for more.

Aw man thank you guys!
I'll save y'all the "sob-story" but I'm having a right gak time at the moment...and have had to put modeling on the back burner for a while, at least 'till I can sort a few things out...hense no real progress sadly...but its really great to read people like my stuff, make me smile.
@Alabamaheretic - Thank you dude, I was pleased with them so far. I find OSL so tricky, I have to try and keep it very subtle because my painting skills aren't that amazing, but it really makes these guys pop so think it works. Good luck with your own 'munda adventures...I hope we see a new blog soon yeah!
@Skalk Bloodaxe - Thanks man, really appreciate that, I feel I saw what others had done and tried to put my own spin on them. I think really with the quality of the plastic kits GW has now-a-days twinned with the awesome resin pieces other smaller companies are making, its much easier to create colourful characters and units, but a lot of work went into these so I'm glad people enjoy 'em and maybe wanna create some for themselves.
To everyone else sorry this isn't an update...promise I will get back 'on it' soon!
