yeah,
@coyotius, sorry I didn't see those images within the boardgame geek thread.
Is that the same person? or has one copied the other?
I think those images need to be tiled to gether prior to printing, and scaling will be a issue...
I don't think these are the solution, my hunt continues...
Panic...

I think the full images are 2100 x 2100 (which you can download separately from the game...first link). That's like 10.5", so nine tiles printed at 115% will get you a 3'x3' board, right?
Edit: That x-wing in the image above is pretty big...so you might not notice the scaling with the smaller ones from this new game.

4th Quarter for 4 new ships, also confirms some of well known cannon characters' are in the pack, like Han and Chewy for Falcon, Boba fett for Slave 1, Tycho Celchi for the A-wing and Soontir Fel for Tie Interceptor.
no details about whether or not falcon has dual pilots yet, guess that will trickle out slowly.

yeah,
News of the second wave!
In the UK we havn't got the first wave yet... this kinda thing pisses me off.
Still the photos look lovely
 Millennium Falcon™ Expansion Pack
Fly the legendary Millennium Falcon into fast-paced battles for the fate of the galaxy! The Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack for the Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game allows players to blast through hyperspace with Han, Chewie, Lando, Nien Nunb, and more.
The Millennium Falcon isn’t just any YT-1300. It is easily one of the most iconic and recognizable starships of all time, and it comes with four pilot cards, fourteen upgrades, and all requisite tokens. New rules expand the X-Wing galaxy to include unique starfighters, ships with larger bases, turret weapons, faction specific upgrades, and special modifications. With its new rules, pilots, and lovingly detailed miniature, the Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack is a beautiful addition to the X-Wing game!
 Slave I™ Expansion Pack
Originally intended as a prisoner transport, the Firespray-31 gained notoriety through association with some of the galaxy’s most fearsome pirates and bounty hunters, including the infamous Boba Fett. Just like Fett, the Slave I Expansion Pack for X-Wing is full of deadly surprises.
The Slave I Expansion Pack allows players to take advantage of the Firespray’s versatile armament and heavy armor plating, as well as a host of lethal new upgrades. Imperial players can choose to arm this starfighter with a range of missiles, ion cannons, heavy laser cannons, and bombs. Slave I comes with a detailed miniature, four pilot cards, thirteen upgrades, and all requisite tokens. New rules and a new mission further expand your games of X-Wing!
 A-Wing™ Expansion Pack
Conceived by General Dodonna, the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor proved its worth by crippling Star Destroyers during the Battle of Endor. Now this highly maneuverable starfighter adds another exciting dimension to Rebel squadrons in the Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game.
The A-Wing Expansion Pack introduces one A-wing miniature with four pilots and five upgrades, as well as the tactically compelling “Boost” action. Only the most talented pilots belong in an A-wing cockpit, and Rebel aces like Tycho Celchu push this sleek starfighter to its limits as they seek to gain every advantage it can give them in the galaxy’s deadliest dogfights!
 TIE Interceptor™ Expansion Pack
Imperial players can add a lethal new starfighter to their X-Wing squadrons with the TIE Interceptor Expansion Pack. The finest mass-produced starfighter of its time, the TIE interceptor excels at dogfighting thanks to its heightened maneuverability, increased speed, and four wing-mounted laser cannons that easily allow it to outgun its predecessors.
The TIE interceptor brings more to the table, though, than just its armaments. It features six skullful new pilots, including the renowned Imperial ace, Soontir Fel. The starfighter’s “Boost” action affords tremendous tactical freedom, and the pack’s daredevil pilots can wrench maneuvers of the ship its designers at Sienar Fleet Systems may have never imagined. With its detailed miniature, two upgrades, and new pilots, the TIE Interceptor Expansion Pack creates exciting opportunities for all Imperial players.
Look for the Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack, Slave I Expansion Pack, A-Wing Expansion Pack, and TIE Interceptor Expansion Pack to arrive at retailers everywhere later in the fourth quarter of 2012!

That's the plan I think. Going to look for a good UK retailer I think, or maybe Miniature Market. Even with the 10% FLGS discount these sets are rather.. expensive.
Mind, pre-painted they look nice, not Micromachine quality, but not bad either.

$25.97 for the starter, which is €19.78 a.k.a. half price.
Granted, shipping kills the deal sadly.

2x Starter, 2x all four boosters.....
Yeah, it looks like there are plenty of places in the US that are cheap, but when shipping is like $50-$60 USD it tends to even it out Automatically Appended Next Post: TIE Interceptor™ Expansion Pack

Yeah I know how you feel, just walk into any comic book store in the Netherlands and that will happen.
I'm looking forward to the game being on the table. But I'm even more excited about making or seeing the
Terrain being made.
Even if the models aren't the best quality I think the design makes up for it, plus you get game cards...
I love game cards
I've been following this thread for a while so all I keep thinking when I read a list is....
I want to play it and I want to play it now!

I have a question-
How do you print out downloaded tiles, or graphic representations to hardstock/ cardboard tiles?
Do you have to go through someone, is there a service, or specialized printer to talk to?
Pointing at these tiles, as an example of something to convert from paper, to gameboard.

If you do have an Epson A3 printer with durabrite ink (does not dissolve when in contact with water or markers) its quite easy. If you do not you better visit Kinkos or whatever chain exists in your neck of the wood.
Taking into account that you have to print it out, mount it on cardstock and maby have to laminate it it is maybe better to let the folks at Kinko & Co do the whole stuff. You do need some experience if it is supposed to turn out durable.

Played four games of it last night with the quick-start rules. It's definitely more tactical than I thought it would be, even without the direct hit damage cards or pilot abilities. Using the qs rules games averaged about 15 minutes.
When I was in the middle of my first game choosing my maneuver, I looked up and realized that four tables of our 40k league play had stopped and everyone had gathered around the table to watch us play X-Wing. I think we have a winner for a fast, fun break game.

Yeah, this one has me interested. Like to see a dogfight with a couple of squadrons running around on a deathstar table.

I got my copy of the base game from the flgs (unfortunately they weren't able to get any boosters yet) and refereed two games this evening after playing 40k 6e for the first full game. For better or worse, I enjoyed the xwing game significantly more than the 40k one and so did my 40k opponent who played the xwing games as well. We just used stock Ties vs a stock Xwing and still had a blast. I see the game as only improving once you add in the variety of upgrades like missles and droids.
