A bit of fluff to go with my model,



Sergeant Rhaiel has been on secondment to the Ordo Xenos for nearly four decades. He is currently under the command of Inquisitor Brakhas who is leading a purge of the Eldar from an Imperial system in the Nephritie sector. His power fist is a chapter heirloom which has been cosmetically modified with the Inquisition's seal. Rhaiel has become particularly adept in it's use during his near century and a half of service to the Emperor. Rhaiel has been sited for many honours both in his service to his chapter and to the Ordo Xenos but chief amoung these was the killing of an Eldar Farseer saving the life of Inquisitor Brakhas. Rhaiel is due to return to the chapter in another 12 years once he has completed his half century of service to the Ordo Xenos.

@ Reaper Man - Nice job. I really like the way he turned out. Nice touch with the fluff as well. A little wordy blurb always helps point out some details, such as the powerfist.

Well, I defently won't be able to finish my entry

This is brother Laesus of the Liberi Mortis chapter of the Adeptus Astartes. His respiratory system was savaged by a Tyranid bio plasma attack in his first mission with the Deathwatch. His deep rooted hatred of the Great Devourer has made reintegration with his chapter almost impossible. He will die in the service of the Ordo Xenos.

I realize the contest is over, but I just feel like adding some pictures of my Deathwatch Marines to this thread just to add to the awesomeness.

My story is that I got into a Deathwatch campaign before I ever got into playing 40k. After a few months, the itch got to me and I started playing. Early on, I decided to go with Codex Marines and dress them up as Deathwatch. This has been awesome for me because it's meant that I could kit bash and do marines from all different chapters. So to make my marines, I got the Deathwatch conversion kits and stole bits from my friends so I could do Space Wolves and Blood Angels, and then got a box of Dark Angels Veterans and the Black Templar upgrade kit to let me do some other chapters. A lot of my army is still unpainted, but these are some of the models that have gotten done.

Cool idea, I'll see if I can find my old Death Watch kill team from ages back and post some pics up too.

Alright the suspense is killing me, when do we get a result?

The result has been delayed because of a planning mishap on my part (entirely my fault too). I managed to book last weekend for moving the studio to new premises. It's taken me until today to sort out regular internet access. Graven and I will put our heads together and come up with a winner as soon as we can. I've only just now sent him my short list for us to compare notes.

Sorry guys. Just bear with me for a little bit longer.
