Question: Can we enter multiple figures? I didn't see that anywhere in the thread when I scanned it (apologies if I missed it).

I ask because I plan on building a Deathwatch squad soon.

Just received a trunk and backseat full of vintage GW stuff (books, bits, full armies) from a former GW regional manager so I will have EPIC bits for my guy. For free!! woot!!

Almost forgot about this... going to hit up my flgs for some supplies tomorrow.

I see a couple people are doing the double plasma pistol thing so I think I might have to change mine up.

So here's my wip. I haven't finished touching up the minor things such as mold lines and other gunk.
Other aesthetics (purity seals, possible loin cloth etc) will be finalized and added as work progresses.

I would like to mention that this is my first submission to the world; my first post or upload of my work, let
alone any competition. This model is also a part of my first army I've built, too (progress/army blog coming soon)

Time for some WIP shots from my bad self.

I'm doing two models, first a Red Scorpion marine (sergeant or some such). I will add some more details, but I want this model to look clean and efficient, a recent conscript.





Second, a grizzled terminator (Lamenter or Emporer's Scythes)

This guy is gonna look mean, a lot of battle damage, weathering, trophies and such.





There's something about the Cyclone that I really like, I can't decided if it works here or not though, opinions?

Does it matter if the fig doesn't have sholder pads yet? I've got two 2 id like to put forward.

Angels Infernus is me but listed on the name below me

And I have a full WIP shot in the thread which does more than the bits shot.

My marine is a dark angel, I know the shoulder pad isn't clear in the pics.

Surely there can be more than one Dark Angel in the Death Watch! Besides mine was built first!

Battle Brother Illythian - Veteran Sergeant within the secretive Angels Infernus Black Guard, rumoured to guard the deepest secrets of their keep and the keys to their power. Currently serving with the Deathwatch as an rapid assault specialist. His Black Guard helmet crest and relic lightening claws denote personal victories within the chapter, and despite little knowledge of the Black Guard activities he has time and again proven his potency within the Death Watch as an unrelenting fighter.





Final image pic First time painting black armour so its not stellar but was alot of fun.

I can already see that this is going to be a very hard competition to judge.

Quick point though: When submitting your final entry, remember that the quality of the photograph is important. No point putting together and awesome mini with an even more awesome paint job if we can't see all the highlights.

I'm having a bit of a nightmare over the bases but have got some 30mm from flgs so will send out tomorrow, hopefully.
