There’s no helmet in the actual pic.

No helmet gang Abbadons... why do I feel like I should be on a website I normally visit in an incognito browser window?

I agree.

To be honest, the first page teaser sounds ominous. The Silent King might be making a move (Necrons). Or maybe there is a small, tiny change that it's somebody waiting for 15,000 years for a chance at vengeance. But that would be too galaxy-shaking this soon after Cadia's fall.

That brief wave of "hype hype, new Xenos, new Xenos faction! Gonna get a new army to "oh. More Marines."

Friend of mine likes Custodes, so great for him, but for me... its kind of a let down.

Oh well. Not as bad as Slaanesh's rules in the new Daemon Codex amiright?

Deliberate lack of cross-compatibility.

Same reason 30K Custodes can't take standard Contemptors or Land Raiders for [reasons].

Well. GW won't get penny from me if FW doesn't give 30k rules for them. I don't buy single model I can't actually USE. Here's hoping. Looks nice models so would be nice to get squad(or two).

Wish GW and FW co-ordinates bit more. Hetaeron's are supposed to be inner circle who were the ones always at his side. What's these? Some new group within them? Blah. Would need to be pretty darn good to be even better bodyguard seeing every Hetaeron is like marine captain+.

Or, they are just the modern equivalent of the Aquilon and not the replacements of the Hetaeron.

Box indicates close relation with emperor. Aquillan terminators weren't all that special on that regard. That was Hetaeron's job being the inner circle of custodians. So sounds more like modern equilavent of Hetaeron.

I know Galas. If there’s not one mention of xenos getting something other than codices tomorrow I’m leaving GW for good and swapping entirely to kingdom death. It will be clear they don’t want xenos around anymore.

No, it calls them Veteran Guardians of the Emperor. Seeing as ALL Custodes are the Guardians of the Emperor and even refered to as that, doesn't translate at all to them replacing the Hetaeron Guard. All it means is they are Veteran members of the Guard.

They'll get a mention as being unable to stand before the glorious slaughter of the renewed Adeptus Custodes(tm), as they bring hope to the Imperium in the darkness.

It's not Tau made of gold so the world is ending for Gamgee. I know his name only due to the infamy of that fact.

Best to leave him to his worries and take it from there.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Talk about jumping from the frying pan and into the fire!

This has been coming for a year now after I heard some rumors about a new internal direction as well as rumors all of 8th edition will focus on imp v chaos. And they plan for it to be a very long edition.

The writing has been on the wall for almost a year now and getting clearer. I’ve been trying to remain hopeful.

Tau have a pretty cool a new range, haven't they ? And, not long ago, a campaign ? I think they are, if not the one, among the ones that get the most attention by GW, for a xenos army at least

Anyone notice GW becoming more kid friendly in a world where the "good guys" will brutally murder an entire planet of innocent humans if one person happens to sneeze and it sounds like a choas gods name? Poor Seksy Slaanesh has even begun to disappear!? Geuss we gotta have more elf orgies!

Since they are supposed to be a paired force, I would imagine its likely Codex: Talons of the Emperor.

So you rather want quick codices for the other factions without new models or fluff? I suppose they could do that.

Maybe they just hold some of them back as they're part of future campaigns and releases. To bridge the time with smaller (or stretched) releases seems kind of reasonable.

I get it won't please everyone, but I for one am super stoked!

Fingers crossed, especially after the Emperors Legion novel made a big deal about how they were supposed to fight together.

Yeah I know right? Now I am sorta regretting giving away my SoS. Just gonna have to get more down the road.

No you haven't, you've run towards nearly every bit of possibly negative news (for you) with your arms wide open like a high Lemming at a cliff museum, even if it's required multiple steps of supposition to contort the rumour into something sufficiently bad to react to.

The real play here is hoping they have syncd with Forgeworld for a dual release of rules for things like the Telemon for 40k, etc.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

It's just super duper Marines. To tag along with the super marines they released a few months ago. Is this how AoS players feel when more Stormcast are announced?

My only hope is that they're part of an Imperial Agents codex and theres also going to be some plastic Sisters released as well.

you act like this is a suprise. they teased a custodes IC awhile back. a full release makes sense. my guess is that 2018 will finish up all the armies without a 'dex but we'll also see some new armies.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
