So today while playing my friend, he moves his Chaos Sorcerer with Termie. honors into assault against my Nightbringer. I'm freaking out because his C.S has a force weapon and he's' never screwed up a psychic test. So, he has higher initiative and strikes first. He hits and goes to do the test. It's successful so he rolls to see if he wounds. (I know the sequence is out of order but I didn't feel like correcting him when we played.) So I check to see what he needs to wound. C.S- strength 4. Nightbringer- Toughness 8. I look and see he can't wound. Relief washes over me and I slaughter him.
Have you had any similar experiences? Post them, I'd like to hear about them!

The 6 I rolled to wound my friends Hive Tyrant with my Sorcerer. Force Weapon insta-deaths him, and I roll his army with his last synapse unit. I swear, that dice took 30 seconds to stop spinning.

Nice, my same friend used a force weapon to kill off my 'Fex and Broodlord. Thank God for T8.

Don't C'tan have Eternal Warrior? That would kinda stop people from Force Weaponing him.
A Hive Tyrant has Synapse and is thus immune to instant death.
A Broodlord has synapse thus it is immune to instant death. If the Carnifex was within 12" of a creature with synapse, it too was immune to Instant Death.

Eternal Warrior hadn't been invented yet when the C'Tan were around. And nor should they either. If anything Force Weapons and other warp-based attacks should have a greater effect on them.

'Nids are immune to ID by weapons of double strength. I don't think anything S5 carries a Force Weapon, otherwise you can't touch the C'Tan, but you knew that. Still, that means they can be killed by a Destroyer weapon, right?

When i was watching a game in the GW shop , someone put plastic bag of some sort on the floor beside the gamming tables.
I didnt think anything important was inside so i give it a little push with my foot , then i heard a crack followed right away with someone going "AHHHHH"
i thought i broke something some how ( it was really light push! )
It turns out the guy was screaming because he thought his bubble tea wasnt finished and i tiped it over in the bag.
and the crack was the empty lid + straw .

Yeah, but it's not a regular force weapon. It doesn't cause Instant Death, it 'slays outright', because it's designed to kill Daemons which are immune to Instant Death.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it. |

It'll do the same to the Nightbringer.
