You should try repainting one... THEN offer it up for trade. Trade marines are great for practice and "stretching you legs" artistically. (and thanks!)

OK, couple of shots just to show something is happenng

Tranquility vet about to be nommed by a gaunt for Thing 2:

Eyes, honours, a few details and some tidying to do. Then the 'nid. Oh, and the backpack - I forgot to check how Gits did his guys before starting this and only realised after I'd done the yellow that the backpack should be the same So that'll be a slighlty different shade then

And one of the BloodFists for WM:

Lots still to do on this one, want to try something new on the power axe too.

graven - I keep chickening out of doing the chipping on Tek-Masta 'Stumpy', but as I'm thinking of doing some on the Mantis Warrior so that'll probably get me to knuckle under...

I have yet to post up the batrep, but the game was a success for the GMS marines!

Few highlights (related to the GMS marines)
-Techmarine from BishopGore distracted my opponent Orcrist611, and he shot at him with an entire mob of shoota boyz. Needless to say, the techmarine died, but his sacrifice saved the entire GMS tac squad, which later took out a deff dread in CC. (thanks for the Powerfist Sgt., Whale!)
-As I just said, GMS tac marine squad took out a deff dread
-the GMS honor guard killed a large chunk of a slugga boyz squad of 30, before being finished off after 2 or 3 turns of CC
-Before his death, the techmarine put a wound on the KFF mech with his only bolter shot
-the ml in the GMS squad took out 4 boyz
-the plasma gunner from Gits DIDN'T 'get hot' while shooting, but wasted two boyz
-Every tac marine from another user survived (I removed the two I painted as casualties first)
-The Mantis Warrior (bits from Gits, but I painted/modeled) was promoted to Sgt. and led my other tac squad.

I ended up winning due to many mistakes on both our parts, but you'll read about that when I write it up.

In further news, Ice and Whale, both your guys are so close to being done, I should have already finished them by now
Pics up very soon my friends.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

That would make you way further along then I. I have 2 more days of school, ever, so that has been taking my time, hope you guys understand.

My limited model time has been on some stuff for an event I'm going to on the 24th. After that, back to modeling and painting for fun

Beautiful work on the Tranquility Vet monkeytroll. Thing 2 is going to LOVE the fact that his gaunt is eating one of my best troopers! Great job on the yellow and the camo pattern. They aren't as hard as they look once you get used to it... just a bit tedious.

Love the Blood Fist too... nice work.

Don't ever enter battle with out your handy field guide! Or he is lost and is consulting his map. Don't let the sisters of battle find out.

Thanks Gits, I found it the other way, wasn't too tedious but was a real pain, had to re-do a couple, and those angles don't show the wobbly lines I almost went for using a pen, but decided to give it a try with the brush.

WM - Nah, not a libby, the BloodFists like to carry a bit of light reading around with them to pass the time:

PC is dead and laptop only has Paint, so couldn't do anything fancy

Thanks Moltar, I am also a huge fan of the quartered helmet look. It's surprising I don't have an entire unit with that look.
