So I bought my wife a box of gaunst for her birthday. Which was yesterday. SO today she gets home from work, and wants to assemble them. And like any smart person, was deciding what to put in the broods. BUT asked me an odd question.
"How come there is so many bases for these things?"
Of course I told her because they come with alot of gaunts in a box. She counted and a full HALF the sprues were missing. This is by far the biggest screw up Ive gotten from them so far. Im used to a small thing every once in awhile but this is kind of a "are you kidding me?"

Go back to the store show them and there give you another box.

I always check right after buying them myself.

Like Xav said, show your store. GW has always been very, very good about replacing missing sprues in my experience.

I bought some Assault terminators that came with no bodies, instead they had both the assault terminator sprues and the regular terminator sprues. I called and they sent me another box of assault terminators so I had a ton of lightning claws & thunderhammers to do conversions.

Ya just call gw if you have a prob they'll replace even the biggest problem my friend was missking a bike sprue from a raven wing battalion and they sent him a whole brand new one was rly cool. Not saying you should do it to get free stuff but its nice for them to fix it.

Funny, that was my _exact_ response to this thread. Packaging mistakes happen. Period. And GW does an excellent job of making things right when they do. In the time it took you to write this thread you could've gotten on the phone with your store and gotten it fixed.

I don't mean to take this topic off topic, but I once bought a bag of chips, but when I opened it, there was only air and a little bit of crumbs.

Before you ask "couldn't you tell by how light the bag was" the bag was in a box with another bag.

Also, my cousin had a few pieces missing from his monolith, but GW only sent him the replacement bitz, not another monolith.

I've had my Great Unclean one come with 2 right arms, and no left arm. Pink horrors with many unmatched limbs. Cadian Battleforce with no bases, and in each of these examples, store staff has been excellent in making sure I get the parts I need, save with the pink horrors, who I didn't complain about since I thought it was tzeentchy enough to have mismatched limbs.

Honestly, I've missed peices from every blister I've ever gotten (which is 4). My Sonic Blasters were missing a holding arm, my Obliterators managed to miss a couple weapon sprues, and my Warriors of Chaos Halberds were missing 1/3 of the sprues. I did get a crash course in conversions because of it though.

I bought 10, yes 10 individual chaos bikes at the onset of 4th. All 10 were SM bikes in the boxes.

I wrote this while I was on hold with GW. So all the negatives can really just shove their posts up their hind ends. Ive had to call GW customer service once before on some Orks that got nuked lol. I really needed to just vent. If you negative posters would of read, it was a bday present for my wife. Which meant it wasnt opened until SHOCK! Her birthday.
Anywho all is well, and GW came threw as always. Like I stated already, I just needed to vent because it WAS my wives bday present.

I once got a Cadian battleforce that game with a platoon of catachans instead. GW game me another when i complained, so i got 40 men from a battleforce! =P

Geez. Talk about over-reacting. Sure, it may be annoying, but there are worse things than missing a few sprues.

And besides, everyone knows that this is GW's biggest screw up.

No offense, but that is the first thing you say coming into the last few threads I've seen. You should add it to your sig. It was easier when you had the "can't say Codex: Daemons without some Ork coming up and laughing" in your sig. Not an attack (and I do almost agree), I just think it'd help to get that out there without saying it would help speed up the process.

I don't consider the RoB board to be GW's screwup, more the Chinese manufacturer who made it.

I used to have some chaos hounds (metal) with wrong legs. when they sent the replacement , they are still the wrong legs.

So i just gave up , the metal hounds are just sitting in my bits box -_-

A friend of mine bought an IG autocannon (the old metal ones). Open the blister - no wheels.

Takes it to the store and the manager pulls a blister off the shelf - no wheels, gives it to him. Pulls another one - no wheels, gives it to him.

The manager pulls six with no wheels of the shelf and gives them to him before finding one that does. A quick mail order for some wheels (back when you could order anything) and that's eight autocannons.

Another friend bought a ratskin gang with a model missing. The first box the manager pulled had the same one missing so he pulled another. Three gangs (less two models) for the price of one.

Mistakes happen. As long as you make good on it then there isn't a problem.

I've actually had a really good experience with GW and replacing missing spures/pieces... I bought some Cadians (well, the basic box of 10 troops) just for, essentially, no reason at all. So, I opened the box, began cutting them off the sprues and assembling... and I found I was missing a torso... one torso... So I called GW and a couple days later I got, not just a torso, but a whole box of cadians for free. I am pretty happy that I got my torso in the end... now essentially 9 and one torsoless cadians are in my bitz box that I was too lazy to assemble...
