I picked up a Tyranid battleforce a few months ago, and am just now getting around to painting it. Here's the finished carnifex, minus two arms that aren't quite done. This is after about nine months of painting Necrons off and on. These came out way shinier than the actual models are. I'll have to get around to taking real pictures with a real camera instead of an iphone.

Oh, jeez that is nice. That is one of the GW Hive Fleets, and it is a really good job. What's the Hive Fleet's name? It escapes me at the moment.

Behemoth.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Thanks for the comments all!

For the red I primed white and covered the red areas with red gore. Then I washed with devlan mud and put a couple coats of blood red on everything except the recesses. Finally I highlighted with blazing orange.

The bases are resin bases from http://www.back2base-ix.com/. They're the rubble theme.

@krusty: Yeah, I really like the behemoth colors, obviously. I don't feel up to creating my own color scheme yet, so I went with what I think is the the best GW one. It's working well so far

Lovely work on the 'nids.

Really liking the blue effect on the armour plates.

Good luck with painting a WHOLE army of 'nids the one downside to horde armies lol

It is a very nice and clean coat of red and looks a very good model but i personally don't like the behemoth paint scheme.

Wow, you took those with an iPhone? That thing has a pretty good camera, then.

Color scheme looks nice, especially the highlights at the edges of the armor plates.

I'm gonna have to steal your idea with the highlights of blazing orange (I always felt there was something missing from my guys).

Amazing job by the way.

Nice call with the blazing orange, Ive seen others that lack the 'zing' your guys have!

Ive also got some of those Back2base-ix bases, they are excellent quality. Just did my Dreadnaught on one of the rubble ones, really effective.

Keep up the high quality work!
