That my friend is a beautiful set of terrain. I envy your work.
Now about that lift idea...
I think it would be easier to do than you think. Locate a childs hot wheels or similar play structure with an automotive repair shop theme and reverse engineer or even use the car lift with crank for your terrain piece.

wow...yesterday went the boring path and stayed glued to the telly...and this is what i have missed out on...wonderful new set is coming along oh so nice!
the cables alone were a nice touch... but then you toped it all by creating that wonderfull ladder... truly ace!!! and all that fiddly detailwork there! and i just love the gargoyles! nice! now we need pressmoulds of these to replace every damn skull of 40k into nice and smiley gargoyels...^^
by the way... forgive a mere behind the moon german his ignorance...but why the giants hate? i always thought everyone liked NY...doesn´t that aply to football?
