That guy looks like a boss! Nice use of bits and great cloth effects with the green stuff.

I am in awe of some of the amazing stuff you have here, as well as being totally jealous of your greenstuffing skills, and general ability to kitbash, as well as being jealous at your obviously infinite bitzbox...

Would love to see more!

My bitz box is getting very small, less and less pieces all of time. Once gone I have no future plans to do chaos space marines.

As I was building the Crusaders and doing the tutorial on tabards and other cloth things in green stuff, I did up a bunch of little conversions. This is just one of that group. I used the techniques demonstrated in my tutorial for both the tabard and the draping on the leg.

More of these one shot chaos space marines to come.

So nice to see this thread back!

You have definately sold your soul to chaos! All your conversions and ideas are brilliant and offer alot of inspiration. I kind of makes me wish I had gone down the mutated chaos route for my marines rather than the minimalist approach. The cloth looks like it was sculpted on the models by the designer its that well done. The ogre/fex spawn reminds me of the creature from the movie the Thing which can only be a good thing when designing a spawn! As someone else said its always such a relief when someone is a very good converter and they turn out to be also a great painter, it provides the models and armies that make people spend hours on these forums. Great work all round.

Thanks guys your comments are much appreciated. I do enjoy the darkness of chaos, its been a blast thus far. Have a lot more to do.

This one is more or less an excercise in use of special left over bits. As with a couple of this batch not really using a lot of GS.

The tabbard again is done using the same method I used in my tutorial on my blog for making GS cloth and such....

I've been building more mutants for my warriors of chaos marauders which are mix of virtually everything chaos. I picked up an ultra cool Avatars of War plastic Dwarf Berserkers box set. I decided that I was going to taint them with chaos. So to start I wanted to do a very straightforward simple conversions to see how gor stuff looked with the berserkers.

Consequently, I came up with midgetgor.

Still more taint to go.

The possessed bits are very awesome looking pieces. I thought this made for an interesting pose. And I do like this head. A lot times your conversions do not need to be completely over the top. Very subtle ones often work, and give you that dynamic that you are looking for.

Amen on the head, and the power maul too is one of the most distinctively chaos weapons in my mind. Love seeing your CSM dudes, thanks for continuing to post them up. I always feel inspired to build / paint some more of my own chaos lads when I see your work ... but then the state of the codex and 40k tend to de-inspire me

Anyway keep up the chaotic work PPC. Digging that midget gor as well, though you've got other gears turning in my head now, as I too have been looking for something to do with those plastic dwarfs ...

I hear you there Boss. Although I think the state of 8th edition Fantasy is far worse than 40k. Its to the point I really don't want to play the game anymore.

Anyways, more Midgetgors. More of a traditional beastman head look, and my weapon is bigger than yours...

And if you call me cute, one more time well.....

Sorry I just had to do it....

The little rune things can be covered easily with chaos bits. I knew that I had to use the screaming gor head with the #1 salute, it was just too obvious. I do like Avatars of War's sense of humor.

After doing these, they have given me some other ideas. Its a really nice kit that they put together. And I can not wait to see what their Warriors of Apoc look like in person.

Just went through the whole blog, some really awesome stuff here! You capture chaos very well for me.

I must ask, how do you make that GS cloth? Its awesome. would it be beyond a new sculptors skills?

Sorry haven't updated in awhile, but I'm getting back to things Chaos....

As to cloth here is a link to my blog that has a tutorial on how I do cloth with GS:
http://psychosispc-themadhouseworkshop.blogspot.com/p/tutorial.html

And on to the warp....
So I have been working on my Warriors of Chaos army a bit. Then I got sidetracked on a different project as well as continuing my work on the Vikings.

James Craig, a friend of mine, and of the 'Lost In the Warp' fame asked if I would build him a beastman. James and I had taken part in the whole North American Primarch Chicago Gamesday thing where the group of us would each build and enter a Primarch in the Golden Demon contest. Anyways, I thought this project would be cool to do. He is a much more accomplished painter than I am, having won numerous Golden Demons for various elements of his Beastmen army. So the model I build will be painted by James to match up with his army. Having done tons of commission building work over the years, I always enjoy seeing how people paint things that I have built for them. The thing about building is that I have this image of what the final look will be in my head in color, and when someone else paints that piece it gives me a very fresh perspective. In turn I asked James to build something for this army that I would paint.

So below are a couple pics of my build:

And the something extra, a midgetgor:

And the following are links to the blogs, mine were I discuss the build and James who gives his thoughts and announces some other stuff that he has coming up.
http://psychosispc-themadhouseworkshop.blogspot.com/
http://www.lostinthewarp.com/

Of course it doesn't stop there as we also got Mike 'The King of Nurgle' Butcher to build James a cool nurgle piece. At some point Mike will discuss the build at his blog:

So in exchange for the beastmen models that I built for James, he built me a model for my warriors of chaos army. The model he built is shown here at his blog.... http://www.lostinthewarp.com/2012/11/with-little-help-from-my-friends-part-2.html
I'll be basing the model and will show a couple pics of that later. I'll also be painting this model myself to add it to my army of mutants.

Well I finally got back to some painting, this time on the Chaos Chosen, well lucky number 13 of them. Haven't got the command ready just yet. These are the metal ones, I attempted to make each one a little bit unique by adding in some head swaps, otherwise no major conversion work. So below are all the rank filers that I got done, in the blue and burnt orange paint scheme.

Nice job, psychosis. The uniform blue scheme works really well with this regiment. and the bases are simple, but quite effective. Glad to see you got back to painting. I've been missing your eye candy.

Thanks man.

I'm getting back in the groove of things. A few more pics of the models. These took forever to paint, lots of details on them.
