Love the chaosy stuff. Fantastic greenstuff work too. The Marauders have certainly given me a few ideas for my own chaos force.

Back to some fantasy. Some WIP shots of the hand weapon shield Marauder unit and finished models of the ones shown a bit earlier. Decided to mix pretty much all of the lines of chaos along with an ogre for filler. The centaur is going to be replaced with a centaur based on the newer plastic chaos knights, I just haven't gotten around to sculpting the torso for that yet.

This unit will be joined with a flail unit that is pretty much done including paint, which I'll show some of the WIPs of soon. Then a maruader Khorne great weapon unit, along with some warriors and knights and marauder horse, chariots, hounds, and such.

I'm back to messing with chaos, long overdue update.

Building a new blood thirster for a buddy out east.

The base model is the Balrog from LotR. Yea I know you're saying just paint it red give it an axe and whamo you got a BT. Well I can't do that, besides I'm getting good money to put armor on it.

Here's some of the WIPs:

Got a ways to go yet. Thank god I'm not painting this bastard.

A tutorial on armor plating? Anyone else want to see that?

I can definitely put something like that together. More of this big guy to come.

It just goes to show what a little detail can do to greatly improve the look of a model. Not to mention the massive resculpts on some of your pieces. I'd like to brag and say that my stuff looks half that good.

but it doesn't.

No one kills more threads than me. Maybe I leave nothing else to say. Maybe my comments suck so hard people are left stunned. Who can say.

Wait until I start the messin' with orcs P&M Blog. Coming soon to a blog near you.

I'll put together a tutorial soon. Finishing up this guy tonight, then shipping it off to General of Chaos over at the Demonic Legion forum, who commissioned the piece.
I should probably show some pics of his two headed chicken of change that built for him also.

That armor tutorial is in the works also...I'm building some more Bloodletters for my Khorne Demon army, so the tutorial will be a armor/fix that posture tutorial for Bloodletters.

Wonderful sculpting! The Bloodthirster looks great but I would do a head swap.

The Balrog head is so strongly Lord of the Rings imagery... Maybe resculpt parts of it or swap with another head altogether? Then you'd have such a unique and wonderful conversion that looks totally yours.

Beautiful work, though I definitely agree with Gundam-Mecha that a head swap would be useful to further distinguish the model from the Balrog.

I concur, do a different head. Otherwise everyone you play will feel the need to point out that this is a LotR model.

It's looking really nice.

But are you going to do anthing else with the head?

Branded Khorne symbol?
More impressive tusks/antlers like bloodletters?
Brass covers over the tips of the horns?

Just seems left out compared to the rest of the model IMO.

But great job on the whole of your army/armies.

My 7 Cents.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Thanks for the kind words.

As to the head, I did this conversion as a commission job, where he really did not want me to change up the pose or head. I acutally kind of like the head myself, but I can understand that it looks quite LotR.

If I did this model for my own, it would have seen alot more carnage and probably different wings as the detail on them are not as good as the rest of the model. But all in all its a nice model, but has huge gaps, not that there isn't real problems with the regular BT.

And if you are wondering what my BT looks like it:
I updated the model, trying to rid it of all of the old stuff as much as possible, and changed the position of the legs, gave it a neck, added new symbols, skulls to the wings, armor, a neck, new hair, a new tabard that uses a skull belt buckle that I sculpted and the chains from the 40k Termie Lord.

If you want to see the face of evil, well here it is:

And the rest of my Khorne Legion:
