What's the best way to chicken hawk? I know in Demon Souls I had fun just killing people in the first part of each world with the meat cleaver. At SL 20, not much can stand up to that.
I just started playing this game again for the first time this year yesterday (I've not played it for so long that the fact you now get XP from skeletons was news to me). Just defeated Ornstein and Smough on NG+. I would certainly agree that the fight is easier if you beat Ornstein first. Having 40 Endurance and 15 Estus flasks was undeniably helpful, however.
I'm also heading to Nito's lair...he was the one boss I can remember beating first time on my first playthrough, but I don't expect that to be repeated this time round.
Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

Nito is laughably easy, just take out his skeleton minions and BAM! he is a pushover
Hornet Ring (recommended, not required), and any shield that can parry. Light shields like the target shield/parrying dagger have longer parry windows, but I never really got comfortable with their parry timing. I like any medium shield.
Regardless of your setup, you just need to be able to parry decently. When he starts swinging at you, just parry and riposte. When he stops to grab you, just roll away. It's very hard to actually heal during the fight (only use a flask after you've knocked him down, or if you manage to make a HUGE gap between him and you, preferably with a rock/pillar between you and him. Any other time is just too risky, and even when you do manage to take the right precautions, he'll still probably get a hit off on you), and his sword will do some chip damage to you, so the sooner you win, the better.
Heavy, high poise armour will help. Havel's is ideal. Trying to move with any semblance of agility won't help you, since he'll just keep coming at you. This is especially important because with low poise, he can combo you to death off of a single random hit if you're unlucky enough.
I really don't like the Gwyn boss fight because, despite the fact that it's fast paced and he's always in your face, the fight itself is nothing more than parrying over and over. False King Allant actually required more than twitch reflex.

Well, if you're on PS3, I'd be willing to help, but I don't know if I'd have any characters at that area in your level range. Most of my characters are around level 100-120.

Its alright, I gotten this far without help, there is no way im going to let that last hurdle sway my resolve ( yet xD )
Im just going to relax, and farm some souls to upgrade my shield and armor.
I think the worst part are the minions, and me having to run there. It mentally exhausts me before fighting him.
The worst fight so far is Nito -_- I dont get kill by the boss, I get cornered by the 3 skeleton spawns.
Then I realized the only divine weapon I have is Sword of Atoria.... which I have no stats in.
So i spend how ever long dodging Nito while doing 17 damage per swing to the skeletons ......
Eventually the 3 died and I kick Nito's ugly fat bum!

For the black knights on the way to Gwyn, just back stab them, and parry the one on the bridge. Once you figure it out, the run goes by pretty quickly.
And if you don't already have it, make sure you get the Hornet Ring. It's behind the grave in the place you fought Sif. It increases the damage you do with your ripostes and backstabs by 50%.
As for Nito, wait for him to come to you, if you run up to him in the beginning, you'll have to deal with some giant skeletons in addition to the little ones. If you just wait where you fall into the pit, then you only have to deal with a few small skeletons and Nito himself.
The important thing to keep in mind about Nito is that he does not play well with others. He'll do most of the work taking care of the skeletons himself, killing them with his AoE attacks. With that in mind, don't worry about killing the skeletons unless they block you off from getting to Nito, just focus on dodging them.
Nito's actually one of the easier bosses in the game, really.
Fafnir wrote:If it's any consolation, it gives you tonnes of titanite chunks, which can be used to upgrade your armour and weaponry on subsequent playthroughs.
The upgrade materials arnt erased in NG when i kill Gwynn????
The only way I managed to kill Gwyn was with someone helping me. The problem is finding someone in time before getting invaded and killed. I was wearing light armour, had on Eastwood grain ring, lightning scythe +5, sanctus +5 and just rolled around him.

LoneLictor on thread about an ork choking the Emperor:
LoneLictor wrote: I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.
Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.
Just started another playthrough with the intention of completing Siegmeyer's quest line and getting the best ending. On my last run I had fulfilled every condition, and just as I was finishing off the last enemy in the Chaos Eater fight I caught him with my battle axe, causing him to turn hostile. I used Homeward to get away and neither he nor Sieglinde showed up again after that.
Mr Nobody wrote:I'm currently unsure what to do next; go down to the dragon covenant area, the bed of chaos or seath the scaleless.Any suggestions.
The Bed of Chaos is fairly straightforward to beat, but is at the end of what I think is one of the more irritating areas of the game: Lost Izalith. Therefore, if I were in your situation I'd try going there first to get that part out of the way.

Well, in the dragon covenant area, there are some decent items, but if none of them interest you, and you don't plan on joining the covenant anyway, there's no point in going down there.
Lost Izalith is terrible, and I usually leave it for last or second last just to avoid doing it.
The Duke's Archives is probably the easiest of the main areas after Anor Londo. I'd recommend tackling that one first.
