I don't like the dice as a stretch goal. You are not really using the 10k from that jump to produce them, they are already produced, included in some levels and available as an optional additional purchase. I would rather you had add more actual game content for that 10k jump...

Perhaps you´re right. If we approach to that Stretch we have to boost it.

Well, plenty of time between here and then to get SGs fluffed up a bit if they need it.

I'd be interested in more details about the plastic being used, and the dimensions of the tanks.

I'm fairly certain the dice goal is one of those fluff goals. Meant to add in a goal so a stretch is not too large. While most of the cost is actually towards other, much more expensive units to produce.

The amount of dice it adds is pretty low tho, if it added more dice, it may not seem like such a lack luster goal. But of course, don't break the bank on dice.

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

Dead.

I modify the number of dices of that stretch (instead of 5, it will be 8) and we will try to include some Tactical cards.

Anyway, it seems a "bridge too far" for me at this moment..

Barzam and Myself are in. I think I was one of the first 5 backers. Cool.

He thinks we're splitting a box. Not sure how long that will last. Kids seemed interested in the tanks, but then again, so did he...

Looking forward to seeing how far this will go! Loving those aliens!

I should probably go double check what material they're made out of...

Sorry, I forget about the question.

It will be plastic: or hard PVC (shore hardness 95) or high impact polystyrene. This days we are talking with the factory to choose the material that could give the better details

If we get the other factions unlocked, will we be able to swap one of the starter factions for them? If we can, I might just throw in a full starter pledge of my own and get some of the other aliens.

Tribute!? You steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!
Anyway, if I can swap out to another faction once they're unlocked, I'll jsut put in for my own starter and get my space dogman knights and the 'umies.

Perhaps the same can be said of all religions.

I shall discuss it with the brood.

Sounds good, though I'd lean more towards the high impact poly in the situation. Depends on the factory and what they're capable of, of course.

Not to talk you out of pledging so much, but surely there's already four copies of the rulebook in the Major pledge level?

7 hours - 7 thousand

Planning the campaign for Total Extinction: Battle for Karnak we wish to reach £7000 the first day. We thought it´s an ambitious but realistic goal. Well, you made it in only 7 hours!!

Thank you!

Here you can see the tokens included in the Starter Set:

Glad to see the campaign is having a decent day 1, hopefully we'll see it reach 10k-15k before today is finished.

It might be a good idea to update the first post in this thread with a link to the Kickstarter, as some people could have trouble knowing that the campaign is live when the link is hidden way down the bottom of page 9...

Polystyrene is the better choice. It is much more expensive to tool, so you might only use it for the troops, but it is a much better material to work with. Restic has a way of sapping the joy out of the minis, with tenacious mold lines running through detail and refusing to file cleanly. Restic could work for elites or large organic objects, but you do not want to risk making your customers so frustrated with your product that they shelve whole boxes unopened instead of buying more, like what happened to Sedition Wars or Dreadball (season 1 and 2). Resin would be better than restic, assuming you have the logistics for it. Honestly, I prefer Finecast to Restic at this point.

UPDATE #2:

Update #2

Oct 23, 2013
First day, 44 to come
Comment
Hi!

The first 24 hours were exhausting for us but thank you very much! It is really motivating. In just a day we have raised £11,807 and we are very close to the 50% of the funds we need to make Total Extinction reality.

We are doing our best to make this campaign as successful as possible so that all of us could enjoy a lot of extras for Total Extinction. With your help we are sure that we´ll be able to reach it.

So that you could see what is awaiting you, I´m showing you more of our first prototype: Glorlon Raider.

In the pictures the sprues came from the 3d printer. The minis will come without srpues in individual plastic bags
