There's supposed to be a video from Corvus Belli for the satellite tournament. But the LVO site doesn't list any seminars, so I'm not sure whether it's going to be something shown during the lunch break on the schedule or what.
The helmet that Makari is stood on... is that a Tempestus Scion type thing or something ever so slightly different? I recall the Thousand Sons torso on the Thunderwolf cavalry base, in a roundabout way, heralding a the newer line of Rubrics, I wonder if this could be similar?

Total agreement!

It is a Scion helmet.
It's this helmet, but it looks like whoever did the model there mirrored the Scion bits so they're on the opposite of where they are on the actual models.
So I understand that BCP died a fiery death after round 1 of the big 40k event at the LVO - is there any word on if they got it up and running again, and/or why they're trying to run multiple large events on an apparently unsuitable platform?

That would be my guess - a guy I know at the event (Hellstorm Wargaming) posted a short video about an hour after round 2 was meant to have started, because BCP had crashed, and crashed hard. Haven't seen any follow-ups yet, though.

Dayummm, be bad time times if it's still down. Manually working 1k lists would not be fun.

Especially if they're purely relying on BCP to record the results, and don't have a physical result slip to cross-reference to - not saying that definitely is the case, as I don't know, but things don't sound promising.
Do we have any Dakkites with boots on the ground over there who can comment?

BCP crashed and ruined the timeschedule in the LVO xwing tournament too. Dont know why they use it

Not comprehensive but a very good taste of what's going down.
Nanavati lost in round 2.
Here's a rough summary of the 3rd round that gives a fair bit of information. GW need to fix SM, ASAP (look at those Brohammer results);
Sean Nayden scores an overwhelming victory over James McKenzie 41-6.
Mani Cheema loses the first turn in the space marine mirror but is able to scrape out a 1 point win 23-22.
Trent Northington playing Eldar ends Alex MacDougall’s ridgerrunner dreams by a single point 29-28.
Brian Pullen beats out Andrew Gonyo 31-20.
Brohammer continues to perform with John Lennon, Richard Siegler, Tim Pinney, and Richard Martin ending the day 3-0.
care to elaborate? are we seeing this many SM allready?

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units." Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?" Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?" GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!" Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Apologies - I forget not everyone listens to the same podcasts as me!
Brohammer all took the exact same SM list. From the above at least 4 of their players are 3-0...
that seems, pardon me, like a pretty hard "bruh" moment.
but then again who am i to judge:

Did the warhammer community guys mess up the posting and revealed everything early?
Or were they supost to blurt the whole article right at the start.
Or will there be even more reveals?

Are there any alternative programs that could handle the 1k+ players?
But yet another reason why I'm glad no tournaments here that try to make esport style of thing of game that's not even suited for competive gaming to begin with.

Im confused about this unconventional MO.
There was just the one reveal seminar, with everything going up on the WarCom site after. This isn’t unconventional, it’s how they do all their reveals at these events that aren’t their own open days or weekenders.
Pretty much what I think we would have expected the top tables to look like going into day 2.

Agreed as well.
I'm half torn. On one hand, yeah the focus on just certain characters for progression is kinda lame. On the other hand, choosing of Warlord Traits and free relics still lets you create ur dood. Granted, relics shouldn't be free, nor should a model be limited to only just a singular Relic when named characters sometimes have 2 or even 3.

I attended the LVO a few years ago and CB's presentation was just over where the tournament tables were right after prizes were awarded. It was never anything on the schedule.
I attended the LVO championship and Friday was disaster. Round 3 ended at 11:30 and for the second round they resorted to doing matching by hand. Saturday everything went fairly smooth. As of saturday the top 4 are Sean Nayden, Brad Che ster, John Lennon and Justen Lois
Unless I have the details wrong, and out of current order the top 8 after day 2 are
One Aeldari list - Nayden's Skyweavers/Shining Spears+Yncarne list.
One Ork list (all the boys+grots and a unit of Tankbustas)
Then 6 imperial lists.
Of which:
2 Ravenguard Centurions.
2 Iron Hands Dreads.
1 Iron Hands, not quite as many Dreads, one unit of Cents, bit more variety.
1 BA/Ad Mech/Iron Hands Soup.
Oh, I'm very interested to see those Iron Hands dreads lists when they come out! Not currently a 40k player, but that was always what I tried to make work... and failed miserably
Do they deep strike them in or...? Nothing worked back when I played it, but slowly marching across the field was the worst...
