SO I noticed GW has a FlashGit in the advanced orders section. And am I the only one that think this thing looks like a snakebite nob with a shot gun? What happened to all the fluff depicting them wearing long coats, covered in bling that "jingles loudly when they walk" some wear pirate hats and the list goes on. This guy doesnt have ANY of those. ITs a nob, with a shot gun, thats it! WTF GW?!!?!?!?!

I agree, the gun is not what I pictured in my head, not very snazzy its just a double barrel musket.

although he does look like a pirate and that goes with kaptin badrukk, but not really what i would picture for a flash gitz

If I played Orks I would just use him as a regular Nob.

He's wearing a bandanna on his head, this is typical pirate garb. I think he's supposed to look somewhat like a pirate with a parrot squig on his shoulder....snazzgun could be snazzier though.

Edit: Went looking at the gun that baddrukk uses, if it didn't have the drum clip on the bottom, it would look a lot like this gitz' gun.

He looks like he'd fit in a pirate themed army but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's flashy, unless you consider pushing a targeting reticule into a squid's eye socket to be flashy.

Exactly what I was thinking. Flash Gitz come with heavy armor. In no way is that model wearing any kind of armor. A simple Nob with a gun looks more like a Flash Git than this piece of crap.

Also, where is the Giftfinda? All Flash Gitz have mechanical eyes to scan distance to their target. It says it in the dang codex.

Edit: The codex says all self respecting Flash Gitz have a targeter eye. So not only is this model crappy, it doesn't even respect itself. And maby it is wearing armor, but a normal non 'eavy armor nob has more armor than that.

I am more pissed that they only released ONE flash git model. Come on, at least give us some variety!!!!

Doesn't matter HOW cool they look, I'd never put Flash Gitz into my list.

They are fun though, just like Vanguard and Honor Guard are fun for marines. They aren't comp at all, but they are good for a laugh and such.

Maybe the squig is the git finder has a odd eye on it. Lol hes pulling a Catachan with the armor thing i dont think the model looks bad but only having one model for it is odd have a unit of clones maybe.

Overall, I don't DISLIKE the model, I think he's rather decent. But not as a Flash Git and further, I'm not sure why they even bother with a single Flash Git model. Beyond random.

Games Workshop is going insane. Next release of Orks, I fully expect the Ork Boyz box to be replaced by a single $20 metal boy.

i do like it except for the fact that it doesnt look as if he has eavy armor, and perhaps his gun is a bit too weak looking to be a snazzgun. however it would look kickass as a twin linked shoota with the squig being a count as ammo runt :/

I dunno...I kinda like this model. The little details like the kill count on the barrel of the gun are really nice.

I like this model a lot. Just one Flash Git is a really weird release though. Maybe they're just testing the waters to see if anyone wants to buy more. I dig the pirate look.

Release 1 badly made "Flash Git" model ,
have 10000 angry Ork players purchase box of Nob to convert to show GW how its done.

Coincide this with an adequate amount of Ork force new Ork player can get out of killa kan + deff dred
= whole new army bought for March

How's the Git "badly made"? It's not an amazing sculpt, but it's at least serviceable.

That was my idea and impression of a Flash Git as well. This model would kinda be like if they released a new sly marbo model who was just a regular Catachan model with an extra bit or two

I guess I should explain my stance a bit more as well. I too think its a cool mini. And if I had a pirate group, or something along those lines, and wanted the nob to be a shooty nob with no PK, then that guy would fit the bill perfectly. But its the fact that they are trying to shove this off as a flash git is what gets on my nerves.

As others have said, it's a cool model, but it's no flashgit.

Model needs:
+More variety in pirate hats
+Snazzier gun
+'eavy Armor
+Gitfinda

If I ever get around to finishing my flash gitz, I'll post what they should really look like.

Honestly, this figure might make a nice feral ork nob but otherwise isn't anything special. In fact, I don't see any need to buy this figure given what can be done with the current range of plastics.

The model is nice and all but its just so random and out of place. Why release such a random model that doesnt really fit anywhere. Yeah its cool.. but who is gunna buy it?

They're releasing just one. It's pretty much guaranteed to be Direct Only. 99.98% chance it's intended as nothing but a very characterful representation of the awesomeness that is Ork.

This thing would make a fine redneck Ork.
And in fact, would probably be called Red Nek too.

That double barreled shot gun could double as a kombi shoota-burna weapon (makes sense as shot guns fire a spread of bullets akin to how a flamer template looks in game terms). Targeting squiggly beast increases BS to 3 for the unit, and makes them a viable shooter squad in an elite slot.

There, GW is now giving us previews into making Orks a viable shooty army since Tyranids now pwn the horde scene.
