Never have I been so delighted in my decision to pull out of a competition. I would have been embarrassed.

That competition is insane.

Well, the winners have been announced and the entrants revealed. Apparently I didn't put up much of a fight (if any?) this time around. I suspect/(naively) hope that the main cause was photography and composition - hence I have spent additional time putting together an alternative entry that might provide a better basis for critique. I would really appreciate any and all constructive criticism that will assist me in performing better in the future. I've created a thread (including an alternative entry pic) for this purpose here: Arakasi's Dakka Painting Challenge Entry - What went wrong?. I'll leave my excuses for my Infinity blog...

I've been letting the aftermath of the competition unfold a bit before I weigh in but i'm going to make a, probably quite long, post about it tomorrow and hopefully I'll manage a bit of a run down on each entry from my point of view.

On topic, will we be seeing more of your orks again now or are you going to give your Infinity some more attention for a while?

I have a neglected "secret" project in the DCM forums that I need to get back to. I expect it will impact both my Orks and Infinity - so some stuff might leak through - but I suspect it will be quiet around here for the foreseeable future (poor Morgrim and the Meganobz - though I do have lots of unpublished game photos from 5th and some 6th edition...)

(For those non DCMs, it is only in the DCM forum to limit exposure during "inception" - if you are interested, drop me a PM and I'll clue you in on what I'm up to. If you are still interested after that, I can probably organise PM updates...)

Ah yes, I left a comment there when I found the thread. I'm interested in seeing how it develops for sure so I'll be following along.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

As much as I'll miss seeing some Orkey goodness, I'm real excited for said project.
