Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Hey folks!

I'm headed to the Southern California Slaughter in Space 2, and am undecided about whether to take Orks or Dark Eldar for this 2,000 point GT. Here's the missions, although they need some fine-tuning.

http://www.scgwl.com/downloads/SIS10.pdf

The tables are apparently going to be pretty heavily terrained, including LOS blocking stuff, meaning that my assault-oriented orks would be generally a better choice.
There's no doubt that armies are heavily mechanized these days, which my dark Eldar have a better answer to.
Deff Rollas work on vehicles without question now, so Orks can at least answer at close range...but having an army full of 36" lances is nice too.
Dark Eldar don't scale well past 1750-1850 - you don't get a whole lot of added killiness. For 2000 points, I've added Asdrubael Vect with his fast skimming land raider.
Asdrubael Vect is scary, but so is Ghazghkull Thraka, who leads my 2,000 point Orks.
I have much more experience with orks than with Dark Eldar.
I think Dark Eldar are potentially much more of a threat than Orks.
On the flip side, this GT has heavy LOS blocking terrain, while my DE are a glass cannon. If they can't see, they can't shoot.

I'm torn about what to do.

Id say DE. Im basically a fanboy of the DE mostly, BUT they do have that whole "HA! dark eldar? psh never played against them, because they SUCK!" And thats a pretty powerful tool.

Not a fan of that sportsmanship card! "My opponents army did not unreasonably overwhelm the hand-to-hand shooting phase" As a guard player if I am not overwhelming my opponent in the shooting phase I am doing something terribly wrong!
I agree with DE. Because maybe if they make strong showings at tournaments then they might actually get redone!

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

What I'd like to know is what these "Choas Demons" and "Choas Space Marines" codexs are.

I'd go with Orks. assault in inevitable, so it best to pick something that can hit hard when it happens.

Dark Eldar. Most players don't know what to do (gak, I don't even know what to do), and that is an advantage you can't take lightly.

Lot of DE votes here - I should have made it a poll. ><

As for people not knowing what to do, I'm going to a GT, not a local tournament; I'm not sure I can count on getting an advantage for people not knowing what my army does.

You see, most people, even those who go into tourneys, won't know too much about them. They might have fought them once or twice, but DE are very mysterious. If they only fought one person, and that person uses them way differently than you, then you could take a serious advantage. Anyways, you do want more stuff, right?

I'd pick DE as they are a bit unusual at those events.

That's how I was...was I wrong. So horribly wrong.

Anyways, DE sounds like a good choice.

Take DE, see how they run. No one should be surprised, but 3/5 opponents will be anyways
