I have a few questions about the Ork Trukk if you guys have answers

1. The Ork Trukk I got came with 2 Boarding planks, dos this mean I can pay the points to install two?

2. And is it possible to take more then one wreckin ball

3. And speaking of wrecking balls, can you use them at the begining of ur opponects assault phase as well as ur own?

As above, you may only have one of each (but have fun modelling!) and boarding planks are pretty useful things. Not the greatest points investment ever, but if you have some spare there are much worse things to buy.

Another thought crossed my mind today, do Boarding planks and wreckin balls count as weapons? And therefore can be destroyed by a "Weapon Destroyed" result on a Vehicle damage table?

that would depend on what it says on it.

While I do not have an Ork book, doesnt it have an armory section that lists your options as "wargear, vehicle upgrades" and stuff like that?

If you were playing against me, I would say the ball is, but the boarding planks are not.

No.

I never buy anything for my trukks but red paint. There's no use sinking a bunch of points into an AV10 open-topped vehicle.

Boarding planks are often a worthy investment of a paltry 5 points though. The possibility of popping a transport or a Demolisher while remaining in the, uh, safety of the trukk is often worth the 5/6ths of a boy those points would have bought.

Thanks, I got the insperation for my army theme from that card, the quote was to awsome to ignore.

Sure there is. Reinforced Rams are literally mandatory to keep your trukks moving. And boarding planks are simply the best anti-tank in the ork arsenal....although the ruling on deffrollas is contesting that hall of fame spot.

I don't see how the reinforced ram helps terribly. The +2 armor only applies to Tank Shocks, right? It's not gonna stop getting sniped by MLs or MMs at the start of the game...

You buy the ram so that you can reroll difficult terrain, although the tank shock bonus is nice. When you are rolling off 5-6 trukks over terrains in any one turn, chances are you ll roll a one each turn on average.

The ONLY upgrade I give my trukks are reinforced rams. But I cant convince myself to get the boarding plank upgrades simply because my trukks are often all wrecked by turn 2, even with KFF protection. AV10 open topped is just...

You don't need two planks - simply having a boarding plank anywhere is all that's needed to assault off the vehicle.

Ah, I haven't built a mechanized Ork force but I can see why that would be important. With so many vehicles you really couldn't avoid the terrain, even with an 18 inch move.

...and the fastest path to the enemy is always a straight line. Drive right through forests, ruins, etc. to pick your fight and trust the ram reroll to get you there.
