Hey there Dakka,
I'm a former gamer, from when I was about 12, and now, a couple of years into uni I discover a couple of my friends are interested in 40k. Oh hello! So a lot of ebaying later, I find myself with a lot of Dark Eldar sprues, and have been nominated as the primary scenery builder/painter in the group. So hopefully I'll be able to get a loan of a decent camera soon, so I can get some pictures of my work, so I can get a wider range of feedback on it.
I'm planning a fairly standard assembly on my infantry, come conversions may come along with appropriate inspiration for unit sergeants and the like. Although my one and only raider that I'm working on right now is going to be pretty heavily converted, while keeping the same body section. I am looking for some inspiration, although it's difficult to find Dark Eldar conversions, because there's not many players with them just now. If anyone can point me in the direction of some epic Dark Eldar painting threads, that would be fantastic, because searching finds a lot of great painting, but not a huge amount of conversion that would be manageable with my beginner skills.
Currently I'm focusing on getting a nice looking army, and over summer I'll hopefully have a decent amount of time to get them painted to my annoyingly perfectionist standards, although my skills are lacking, I just want to make it look as good as I can.
Um, yeah, so hey all, feel free to pm me if you're in Edinburgh, I'm always looking to meet players who can inspire me, or even just give me a new perspective on my army.
