Those are Lootas. Kommandos are metals and therefore can't be included.

Great that the fortress is confirmed as a real retail product! But I won't be buying one until we get some sprue pics and I know whether the DA-specific bling are optional bits or not.

Agreed!
Well, on the need for sprue pics.
I'm afraid the DA-specific things will be optional only in the sense that you'll have the option to carve them off, though I'd love to be wrong!
Hopefully, it either won't be hard to do, or they can be modified easily enough to just be generic-Imperial looking thingamabobs.
Hopefully!

Battleforces are also £50 cheaper than before, making them a lot more attractive. Lower contents as well I'd imagine.
From memory, the old one had a Landraider, Whirlwind, Vindicator, Command Squad, 15 Tacticals, Commander and a Rhino (might have been a Razorback) and possibly some Scouts?

I'm hoping that Fortress is somewhat modular. If so, I'll probably buy more than one.
I wonder what the back looks like. I hope there's a suitably impressive door into the place
BTW, I'm not a DA player but I'll be using it in my Imperial City as an Arbite Precinct . Maybe even an Inquisitorial Bastion. Or both if I'm clever enough with magnets and FW Symbols.

While I appreciate the IDEA behind the Indomitable Fortress, the execution is simply totally overblown on the whole "gothic" idea. Too many angels, too many skulls, too many arches. I also don't like that the official model is DA-specific, when the description in Planetstrike specifically states that it can take "many forms".
I'm currently assembling an Arbites Precinct House to use as my Indomitable Fortress.
COME ON GW! Start releasing some Non-Imperial terrain already!!!

The description in Planetstrike also states that the Dark Angels have left them on various planets they once operated on, and that Imperial forces have adapted the ideas to their own ends...
With all the Dark Angel successor chapters, the Dark Angels themselves operating wherever they want... Just think of it as a remote outpost devoted to watching for The Fallen.

I'd be much happier with a Hab Block. It'd be way more useful and has tonnes of potential for cool modelling ideas.

Second the hab block idea!
Though I do intend to buy a fortress, maybe two, and tart it up into a Sisters of Battle convent or Inquisitorial bastion.

That scanner is crappy, the fantasy case is red.
But it's good to see the mega forces return, if only as a limited run. The ork variant is especially a steal, what with all those bikes and four boxes of boys.

Are you talking about the Strike Force? It has a command squad, commander, 20 tacticals, land raider, rhino, vindicator and whirlwind.

So um, how do we get down from here?
You get back in the Valkyrie and fly down, obviously.
