The issue does seem to get raised every single time, and while I'm not going to comment on the Mod policy, I have no problem treating any discussion of the IP ramifications of these releases as essentially flame baiting.

Between the moral outrage and the arm chair lawyering, it gets obnoxious in a hurry.

Hi folks I have accepted to sculpt crazy concepts for chapterhouse because I feel they are great chaps and aproached me in a very relaxed way.
From my experience its very fun to work with them and I feel people should enjoy what they produce and have fun with it.

I'm sculpting with some basic ideas in mind, help out chapterhouse to continue its path to provide valid alternatives to gamers/painters outhere and to have personal great fun sculpting some crazy stuff I had in my mind. Believe me its done with the heart and no one getting ritch with this work

Posters here expressed concerns about "lateral issues that do not affect them directly" I think it would be in everyone best interest to leave those issues to the parties directly involved.

Please concentrate on topic and sugest things you would like me to sculpt.

The question I have about the warlocks is: will there be a enough variety of heads/poses to build a full 10 man squad? And I know it's early, but any idea on the price point?

Yes, I can see Nav being "persuaded" to do some warrior heads as well in "predator" and "alien" format.

We are trying to do a couple heads for warlocks and farseer. If the demand is there, we may release more in the near future (heads are easier to sculpt then a whole figure). I want to say we will be in the 10-15$ neighborhood per kit.

The thought of having an easy and good looking conversion for Farseer and Warlock bikes makes me tingle all over. I will definately keep my eye on this project.

As noted, Chapterhouse has responded to the question, confirming that they have engaged the services of an IP Attorney and presently understand themselves to be operating within the boundaries of the law.

Any further posts in this thread on that topic are counterproductive, and will incur disciplinary action.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

And also, will it just be a torso added to the jetbike legs, or will it be a whole figure complete with robey goodness? And please please please will it look good whichever way you decide to do it?

I dont think we will be touching WHFB for a while. The WHFB game, I dont know much about and from what I do know I dont see much need for conversion bits (there are tons of fantasy companies out there already).

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

Fantastic stuff. I will definitely be all over the genestealer heads.

Is there any way you could make a set of arms for the Fex model that touch the ground for an ape like stance or sets of guns for shoulder mounts?

If you are looking for more xenos ideas, it would be cool to have a set of 5 or so unhelmeted Eldar heads. IIRC there are currently only 2 available (1 guardian and 1 Dire Avenger). It would be nice to have them be 3-4 male and 1 or 2 female (long hair/short hair).

You might also consider an autarch torso "kit". Right now you get either a mandiblaster or banshee mask. It would be nice to be able to use bits to make an autarch with exactly what you want.

Arms with CCW and Shuriken Pistol (if you are allowed) would be handy too. Right now we can't make storm guardians without getting a box of 6 for $35.

Amazing sculpts. I wish your company the greatest success. If I played any of the armies you currently support, I would throw money at you in exchange for little plastic men.

Well done, H.B.M.C. Attack someone and then claim the moral high ground because you're supposedly prepared to drop the issue. If you really intended to let the issue drop, you wouldn't have posted anything.

Pardon me if I missed it in all this mudslinging but what do you plan to sell the heads for dollar wise?

I like the Ymgarl heads and I like doing business with Neal but I really don't want to pay $3US per feeder tendril looking head.

I'd be content with $1.50; maybe $2 but that'd be tops for me. You gotta make money so I'm not trying to low ball you or set your price for you.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

Well, for some reason, female Farseers are pretty common in spinoffs and backstory (DoW had one, and there was also the Iyanden special character one whose name I can't spell). Eldar are one of the few armies that could be led by a woman and still be faithful to the backstory. So yeah, the female ones are going to sell better, all things being equal.

Well, the man is untouchable. He can do whatever he wants here and never suffer any repercussions, like a witch dancing between raindrops, never getting wet.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

yeah,
I think Chapter House products shown so far have been SubPar. I await the Rhino MK1 kit to see if that changes my perception.

I think the people who have actively question chapterhouses products legality are concerned for the future of their hobby, they don't want to see anyone and everyone selling eldar and 'nids! watering down the percieved quality of the hobby as a whole and I think that is acceptable. After all Chapterhouse choose to post here on dakka, a forum heavily populated with 40k fans, to stir up interest. They have to accept that not all interest is going to be good.

Panic...

This is pretty darn cool. I'm really excited to see what the Warlock/Farseer components will turn out to be like.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

While i somewhat agree that "things" like this stirr up things and there will naturally be disagreements. And chapterhouse needs to accept that. (not counting the obvious trolls)
I cant fathom that their business would waters down the quality.

In my oppinion. Simply put, any custom models and conversions ritchens the hobby, whatever quality.
