That explains everything.

I sense sarcasm...

Codex: Space Marines wrote:Lyman's Ear- The Sentinel
The internal organs of the normal human ear are removed and replaced with the Lyman's Ear. As a result, a Space Marine's hearing is not only sharper, but they can filter out or enhance specififc sounds. The organ also affects balance, so a Space Marine is unlikely to become disoriented as a result of motion.

Just what I was thinking (but it also bothers me how you can hear a sonic charge in space)

Yea but could you imagine how BORING that scene would of been with no sound? Same with explosions in space. Those parts in movies would be so dull if they were done like it was real.

Id like to add that melta weapons, personally, sound and would look like the heat gun the spy would use in star wars battlefront. A kiln sound, and all you could see is heat waves.

Ork shootas sound like a blunderbuss..... but with sand/metal crunch sound added to it

I personally think lasguns would make no sound, I mean its like turning on a light, you would hear the click of the trigger and then there would a laser... and yah...

Except the air would become super heated instantly, causing a loud cracking noise as the light waves moved through the air. Just like turning on a light. However, you wouldn't see the lazer from the Lasgun unless the light was being shot directly into your eye or there was a bunch of fog.

The same way having a chemical in your blood gives you magical powers.

Technically, medichlorians are microscopic bacteria in your bloodstream, not a chemical.

I always thought that that sonic charge sounded like a power chord.
Now I wanna listen to the Goffic Rokkers live in concert my eardrums would explode.

I've always imagined that splinter weapons would have a faint background of a sharp shattering sound, as the shards of crystal are splint from the ammo core.

Apparently when Lasweapons hit flesh they make a whine and then a wet splat, shortly followed by screaming. Melta weapons hiss as the air around the vapour super-heats. Heavy Stubbers rattle and I'd imagine Autocannons sound like a 40mm cannon. Shotguns? Chick-chick, BOOM!
