Konrad Curze, sure I play Night Lords, so that may factor in but I've always liked the idea of him littering the streets with the bodies of criminals every night. Hes like Batman without the limitations

Yeah, limitations like an aversion of guns, a fear of anything, mortality, vunerability to bullets and human frailty. That and you are something like nine feet tall and scare the hell out of pepole without needing to wear those rediculous tights.

Does anyone have a codex assassins handy? who was the primarch that let himself get assassinated because he didn't believe the imperium would stoop to such acts. Now that is a man of honour

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

It was the Night Haunter, and he let himself be assassinated because such an act justified the acts he himself was censured for.

Russ or Vulkan. Can't decide which I'd rather be doing right now, drinking with my rowdier friends (and, as usual, using my beard as a napkin after the inevitable chugging contests) or putting hammer to metal (which I've sadly been unable to do for some time, due to the space and noise constraints of my current living situation). This is, of course, based on my extremely limited knowledge of the better known primarchs. Had I a basic grasp of the fluff for all of them, I could probably make a deeper commentary on the personality closest to my own.

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

Konrad Curze.

Ultimately, I think he was the only Traitor primarch who saw the folly of what he did and in the end held his original ideal of justice high.

I've loved Vulkan for his craftsmanship and for his determines and courage,Corax for his style of fight(who wouldn't like using lighting claws with invisibility),Fulgrim for his bright side and for his love of arts,Leman Russ for his simple minded side(he just fights, drinks and disobeys Codex Astartes) and Sangunius ability to give advices and fighting skill.

Because he is a treacherous bastard, or because he is underdeveloped in the fluff?

Truth, as much as I would like to be still alive, and/or drinking and fighting 24/7, I'm probably more like Peterubo, before he sacked olympia, and for some reason, instead of 1) pretending like nothing happend or 2) saying "I'm sorry", he goes QQ, Baaaawwww... Daddy will never forgive me! Im going to go and kill him now!
I never got that, it ruined the coolest leigon, just because they had to have some reason to go chaos eventually. They chose that instead of something like Dorn (taking over the war effort for big E) automaticly assuming that peterubo went rogue just because Dorn haetes the IW s.
If I was ever ging to start SMs, I would do a chapter based off a company of IWs that wasn't present at the burning of olympia, and as such felt no guilt, and stayed loyal just because they didn't know about anything untill the drop site massacre.

Is this a retcon of the 2E fluff?

I always read it as a vindication of the hypocrisy of the Imperium.

I don't mind the Ultramarines, I almost ran my chapter as them, I just don't care for Guilliman I don't dislike him for any reason other then the fact that he isn't a very exciting primarch, but I think that his Legion, and successor chapters, are very, very interesting and admirable. My pick was Rogal Dorn, for his stalwart defense of the Emperor, and his humility to submit to the Codex Astartes for the greater good of the Imperium, despite what he felt personally.

Guilliman was an amazing Primarch. He's just not a romantic figure like Sanguinius or the Lion or a tragic figure like Dorn or Magnus. He is the loyal Horus.
