Got about 4000 points of Tomb Kings still boxed on a shelf, want to do them as barrow kings, but just keep putting it off!

I hear your pain with Skaven, recent painting splurge got 108 painted figures... Then worked out its not even 500 points... Erge....

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....

I seem to go through phases where I can paint non stop for several evenings and then all of a sudden I hit a wall and have no motivation for picking up a brush.

At the moment I have a Stompa, a looted russ and a mob of Boyz all of which are 95% done, but I just can't seem to go for the final push on any of them.

Most of this is probably down to other commitments taking priority, however part of it is sheer laziness

I have waaay to many orks and nids staring at me wanting to be painted. I never liked painting nids for some reason even though they are fun to play, and I just can't stand to paint another ork though i have a few units i want to add to my force.

I think part of it is I have had a bug up my arse to start either a BT army or an inquisitional force...I really want to do something in black

A full Tau army that's been unpainted since 2007, and my Dark Elves, which will likely never see completion since 1) I don't play Fantasy, and 2) they need to replace the rest of the model range so that everything looks as good as the cold one knights and corsairs that came out.

I've been picking away at a Nurgle Demon Prince for...crap...3 or 4 months now it must be. Actually started making some real headway this week. Finally found the right bits for a jetpack scratch build (turned out I had a model jet plane that I picked up at some conference as a door prize or something for years lurking around the house) and have most of it together. Not ecstatic about how I attached his arms though and I used epoxy to do it, so I don't really want to break them and redo it (still might, really kind of on the fence about it - really trying to figure out if it looks good or not. I'm just not sure). Jet pack is probably actually done, short of greenstuffing/epoxying it to his back. Trying to decide if I want to keep the smooth looks or break up the lines by adding crap or not. Between that decision and the arms he probably won't be done for months yet.

Oh, and I have about 10 terminators 1/2 built, a squad of raptors primed and based and 1/2 built, and a ton of vehicles that need to be looked at.

And of course, house stuff.

Well, let's see...

- Iron Warriors. I bought everything I needed - 3 squads, 3 rhinos, 3 vindicators, a Warsmith, and enough Iron Warriors conversion packs to make the entire army. What's built and painted to date? 10 Marines and a rhino. After discovering how hard it was to pin everything, it's been hard to keep myself interested.

- Chaos Fantasy warband. I got a box of Warriors and the awesome Khorne Lord on Juggernaut, but stalled out on the project. Don't have much desire to go back to it.

- Orks. I've actually had no problem painting up all the boyz, nobz, and what have you. However, I've got a converted Deff Dread, looted wagon, and 5 stormboyz left. Once they're done though, I'll have a completely painted 2100 point army!

- Crimson Fists. I've got hordes of Terminators who are totally untouched, along with Pedro Kantor and 9 sternguard I never finished painting.

- Space Wolves. A year and a half ago I started a Land Raider Crusader, with Forgeworld doors and everything. I stalled out after about a month working on it. I fielded it in it's first game last week, where it got blown up turn 2. I've also got a Grey Hunter squad and a few loose Terminators left.

- Flesh Tearers. The shoulderpads are in the mail! Once I have them I can strip some old Marines I painted years ago and convert them up. Yet another MEQ indulgence project.

- Imperial Guard. Thankfully, this army never got out of control. Right now I've got 10 Catachans, a Catachan command squad, Sgt. Harker, 3 heavy weapons teams, and a commissar left! Only!

- Imperial Sector. I really need to build this big ol' Imperial playset, but I've got nowhere to put it. Whoops.

Holy hell I have a lot of unpainted plastic.

I've been busy with other things in life, so just hanging back and playing vs painting is kind of nice. It's far more casual than ever before, and yet, I'm much happier with wargaming than I've ever been.

40k
- "Future-proof" Space Marines rebuild / Chaos Marines build - a fairly ambitious project to build my SM / CSM models as designed to be playable using several Codices with lots of distinct options.

- Imperial Guard completion - not ever really going to happen, but it's on paper as a "to do".

- Sisters of Battle expansion

- Eldar repaint - when all is done, you start over at the beginning!

others...
- BFG Eldar - BFG is at a standstill, so this sits patiently...

- OGRE PanEuro - also at a standstill, but would be fun to break out

- WFB Dogs of War / Empire - *so* tempted to the Empire stuff on the trading block...

- WotR Uruk-hai - I may just trade this all off for something else

Most likely, I'll knock together skirmish stuff rather than a mega-project which wants color / style consistency across hundreds of models.

I don't even know where to start - I've got my 1500/2000 points of Orks left to paint as well as the Stompa and the Skullhamma/custom Super-Heavy I'm making for Apoc. Then there's my Grey Knights, and the 3 LRs that need to be assembled yet. I haven't gotten a chance to actually play in a long while either, since I want to play with a fully painted force but I haven't had the time to paint yet.

I think it'd be easier to answer the question "What projects are you not putting off?"

Orks and Marines from Assault on Black Reach. I've got about 15 more Orks to go and the Terminators. Can't be arsed.

Chaos Halfling/Chaos Dwarf army. I've got all the figs and two units done, but I just can't find the time as there is none.

I remembered I have a Nordland Empire Army too. I have two whole units done. A lot of Cavalry to do and one big inf block to go too. But, seeing as the 8th ed. rules are about to fall out of the sky in a few months, this is total back burner.

I'm working on a Chaos War Altar and Celestine for a friend at the moment. Luckily, I got my box of stuff from maelstrom before the Fenris wolf decided to break free from the Earth in Iceland and swallow the Sun thus stopping airmail. Got a lot of stuff to keep me busy if it all goes pear shaped.

Lets see....

Flesh Tearers - 1500 pts of these guys are looking to get some paint soon, since I've actually been playing again. Even so, they've been sitting in a corner for a couple months.

Dwarfs - I got on a painting kick for them last August or so. 2000 points of these guys are currently inhabiting a remote corner under my bed.

Grenadierkompanie - I have a 2250 Mid War / 1750 Late War force, and it's been sitting half painted on my desk for a couple months.

Oh lord, too many to count.

~2000 points of Tomb Kings in various stages of built, without an ounce of paint on them.

~A Slann that I've been tinkering with for months on end now.

~A crap load of CSM that I keep meaning to sell, but damn if I can't get my computer to go to Ebay.

~1500 points worth the Necrons that need touched up/stripped.

And probably the one thing that would actually get me to finish all of this, cleaning up the work station. It looks likes someone launched an orbital bombardment that landed dead center on my table. Bitz and models from armies that I have no clue what they are, and if I do, I'm not entirely sure I've ever played.

My recommendation: don't.

I counted my bare plastic/metal and it made the brick wall thicker. 780 models, none fully painted. I do have 6 terminator squads with the armor base coated and washed so there is a little headway.

My top priority project is to paint a Deathwing force, but that got derailed slightly when I picked up some Battlefoam. Now I'm building the rest of the models that will fit in the foam so I can recover a little storage space. 3 rhinos then I'm back to drybrushing termies.
