Harlequins aren't craftworld or dark. They are like mercenaries.

Harlequins follow their own agenda, and as such are NOT limited to the "good" Eldar.

"Good", of course, being relative.

well I do hope the harlequins are the only odd unit they going to include in the new codex.

1) Gongrats on 11k Posts Alphy. Maybe one day you will have as many as me.

2) Harlequins are one of the five "main" branches of the Eldar (Craftworld, "Dark", Exodites and Crone being the other 4). They reside within the webway like the Dark Eldar and guard the Black Library of Chaos. They serve Cegorach, The Laughing God, and travel from Craftworld to Maiden World and even to Commorragh as mercenaries and to perform The Dance Without End, which details the Fall of the Eldar Race.

3) Dark Eldar were my first ever army and I am so happy to see them updated. We should be seeing peeks in WD if the rumours are to be belived.

When I started 40k less than a year ago, I really wanted DE, but I assumed they were going to die out and started SM instead. Now I'm re-excited for DE. I'm looking forward to some pictures. I like all the poisoned weapons. Is it too soon to start a second army?

people might want to buy some boxes of the old dark eldar warriors. Before GW raises they're prices just like they did with imperial guardsmen. before,You could buy 20 cadians in a box. Now you only get ten, it halved, but the price did not halve. Thus Imperial guard have gotten more expensive.

Can't wait to see some more news.
DE and BT were my first armies. I fought so many battles with them.
I promise to take them from the shelve.

Mostly right; technically no Harlequins wear Soulstones, since they believe so strongly that Cegorach will save their souls at death. Everything else is correct.

Yeah, but the old Dark Eldar warriors were hideous and I don't wish their sculpts upon any mortal.

Awesome! I have no desire to start a DE army but it's nice for DE players everywhere that they're finally getting an upgrade! Just necrons left now....

What's the 'special item'?

Is it like a book? Or a new slave set? We need more slaves in 40k

It's probably a S&M styled mask to let you really "get into the spirit" of playing Dark Eldar.

Or an army box/Apocalypse styled deal. Those usually come out around November/December.

Definitely thinking that I'm going to be looking forward to book for the fluff, if only to see if Dark Eldar are going from wanton, psychotic killers to being more the "Dark Elves" to the Eldar's "High Elves" feel in 40k.

Meaning:
The "darker majesty" against the whole "shining beacon" feel going on for both races.

necrons and inquisition are left from 3rd edition, chaos, dark angels and black templar are left from 4th. either way i hope we still get those tasty 2+ invulnerable saves and maybe a new vehicle

While I like the Jetbikes in plastic I'm surprised that Incubi are staying metal (instead of getting a fancy kits like Nobz, DC etc). Perhaps I'm mistaken but aren't they one of the most iconic units in the range?

Not sure if I'd call them iconic, but they were one of the very few models that didn't suck in the DE range.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

It is odd that Incubi are staying metal rather than becoming plastic.

Although I guess it's possible that they'll be something fielded only in small numbers, or maybe fielded as a one or two model "attachment" to standard Dark Eldar units?

Wonderful, not a single fact in your post! Troll somewhere else.

Not true. We learned that sculptures can have wives.

Anyways, I'm pleased to hear about the Hellions, and hope they don't bother with jet bikes (but allowing players with the models to sub them for Hellions). Anything that differentiates the DE from their less-spikey kin is good.

A DE revamp would really help me out because I could finally dust off my brothers unused models and work on a DE force. These are some things I would like to see

-A plastic lord kit with options.
-plastic talos with different gun options
-better looking wyches (no more trans-gender hermaphrodite looking things)
- a better hamonculus model
-Incubi as an elites choice.
-warp beasts as fast attack
-wyches as troops
-redone heroes.
-a reason to field hellions

Sihamoni takes great pride in the league he helped create, as was conveyed in his recent advertising campaign for the CMFL that stated his midgets will "... take on anything; man, beast, or machine."

I actually mentioned this in the previous thread shortly before it was closed. I was on miniaturemarket's website yesterday. You have to download their price sheet. In the Dark Eldar section it says, "GW Is currently Out-of-Stock on most of it's Dark Eldar range. Check back regularly for upcoming preorders!". I, being a DE player, automatically assume that it could only mean "new" stuff, since they wouldn't pre-order old models.... maybe? I don't know if it means anything or not.

Harlequins are the Guardians of the Black Library (stroing the Eldar's knowledge on Chaos) and therefore a neutral Eldar fraction. They are known to perform their "shows" on Craftworlds AND before Dark Eldar. The Solitaire was maybe the best single close combat monster in 2nd edition, when you could field a legal Harlequin army of maybe 20 models ... and win

I added the Talos rumours to the first post.

Nobody knows, can be anything. Was only deduced by the number code. Only known 40 special item is the Ork resin barricade set.
