sorry, I meant: Easy, boobs

you know I find it odd why people ask this question. Obvious answer is obvious. You can be discrete about it as you want, but the simple fact is most men LOVE boobs.

Ordo Mammaria -

All troops are rated -

A - B cup: Novitiates

C- D cup: Sororitas

E+ cup : Sistas - 2+ on invulnerable save in HTH due to the opponent being gravitationally distracted.

Armor: The scantness of armor causes the opponent to be highly distracted. So should a mammarian, wear AC 6 armor she would get a 2++ save due to the distractions caused in HTH. A mammarian loses 2 to this HTH distraction for every +1 to its armor save thus when wearing carapace armor, AC4 it would result in only a 6++ distractionary save. (Modified if worn by a sista.)

Bad makeup - 5 pt - IF the unit of mammarians wears bad make up, all units must make a leadership test or lose 2 I and 2 WS out of the sheer horror of seeing them or the comical nature. Note - being fearless is no protection!!!.

One thing I noticed among some people is that any chaos or heretic females(ex: chaos sisters of battle) are associated with Slaneesh

Also female IG makes sense but female Space Marines not in sisters of battle don't

thats pretty much saying that the female got the male gene seed and therefore she is now a transvestite or something along those lines

Then the US is even closer than I thought
Women are still not permitted in direct combat jobs, such as infantry, armor, and artillery. That is what is meant as "direct combat" They can, and do serve in indirect combat roles however such as logistical support, mechanics, medics, and MPs. All of these serve close to the action and in a war without front lines they do get embroiled in the fighting. In fact just recently a woman serving with an MP unit won a medal for valour by assaulting an insurgent position after an ambush.

Didnt like 100 GK terminators die just to banish Angron back to the warp for a few thousand years? It's not as easy as Slarg made it seem. But yes, GKs were made to combat Daemons, so it's kinda expected that they were gonna beat a Daemon.

However, SoBs are basically female SMs (although here's a great point for how GW is bias against woman and all, but I wont get into that). Failing that, blame it on slaanesh. There was even a pic of a Noise Marine with boobs in the 3.5 Dex, right at the beginning of the book of Slaanesh. Granted it's not something you would EVER want as a woman (and the boob is rather weird), but still, plausable at least.

100 Grey Knights died "just to banish Angron back to the Warp for a few thousand years"...but in the process they actually cut through Angron's bodyguard of Bloodthirsters, Bloodletters, and Daemon Princes.

Also, Walrus thanks for the correction. I always forget it's the First Battle, not Second. Blargh!

Ehhh. With Chaos Marines there's a chance for female Marines, since they're not all necessarily created via the Gene-Seed and some are basically creations of sorcery amalgated with ritual magic.

Otherwise, definitely. SoB are female SMs, just without the modifications.

somewhere in the webway

i thought the standard was for women to have modifications anyway? i was under the impression 90% of popular females in the media (tv,movie, news, etc) had at least one modification? this probally only reinforces the negitive gender sterotypes the average young girl deals with growing up... but still.

as for the lack of female models... i think its simply because on most races they either A dont have females (orks, nids, necrons) or modeling them would be difficult. (SM, tau IG) plus, with the SM, the whole concept underlying them is a monastic order. traditonally they dont accept females, or if they do its a straight female order, like the SOB. not to mention a female in space marine powe rarmor would be nigh unidentifiable as one. for races like the eldar/de, they are already thin and agile models, with the male models somehwhat effeminate already, so its easy enough to sculpt the full female version.

finally look at the way the sprues are built. for most of the races it would require a total rework of the sprue, and the way GW does business its unlikley they will change a sprues design simply so the sex starved customers can look and touch plastic boobs.

as a final footnote...if you REALLY need to see boobs... check out these wonderful inventions called the "internet" and "google". nuff said.

perhaps its their inner-egalitarian voice speaking to them or the feminists are just rampaging on the threads! I do think its a shame that GW hasnt paid much attention to anything except ripped anglo white guys. There are women in the DE and Eldar ranks, but just no room in the Marines (especially since the geneseed comes from one place). Im glad they wrote into the fluff that there are to be countless chapters of space marines that basically are all whtie (with the exception of sally's who are only black b/c of radiation). Personally, Ive always wondered myself where all the black dudes have gone in the future? When I start my IG army, you can bet they will be well represented! Women space marines just doesnt make sense and if you want to collect them then go for the SOB. Trying to put boobs and a women head on a marine body just doesnt work, the shape of the armor must be totally altered.

Element: I think only the certain ones stuck around when they found out that they were going to be "initiated" into an all boy club by the "insertion" of the "holy geneseed" which, of course, has been passed down from the primarch. Oh, and you have to swallow it all- don't spill a drop!

More female models = win. Female space marines are no less fluffy than nice space marines, Space Wolves riding space wolves or Blood Angels chilling with their Necron homies. It's all good!

While I do want some female models, I'd just be happy with some head's for IG. A girl in body armor and fatigues looks identical to a boy in body armor and fatigues from a distance. What happens when uniforms and armor are mass produced. One size fits none, and they normally go off the male measurements. Though I will hand it to the US military, with all the new uniforms we got, they finally started making uniforms cut to accommodate females. I know a couple of the girls I work with were happy with it, but I digress. I just want new heads in general, some variety would be great. When everyone looks the same, only your height and face stands you apart. I could care less to have female cadian torsos, if they made that slight change to say "look here, it be a girl" nifty, but I would use the normal ones just the same. Now with Catachans I could see the need, but once again, I'd be happy with just the heads.

Just need to break up the monotony for guard armies, identical items tying everyone together is cool, but rather not run a clone army of dudes in helmets.

Though female SM would confuse the hell out of me fluff wise, as for the Slaanesh ones, I suppose, as doesn't the fluff support them being androgynous, but on a left and right side of the body? So their mutation is the warping of their body to look really odd.

+1 to this. Dr. Rockso is the best supporting character (?) EVAR.

As for the thread, I would like female models simply because the modeling chance to make them, well, awesome characters. Instead of guys having all the top roles, it's cool to see a female lead the way from time to time. I know we have the sisters of battle, but that's just a nameless mob of women with bolters, hardly what I'm looking for.

I've always been a big fan of women described as being epically strong, so a female version of straken or marbo would be right up my alley (without replacing straken and marbo of course).

If I've heard correctly, Space Marines were originally described as having been bleached white by the geneseed by default, but temporarily darkening when exposed to UV radiation (basically extreme, instant tanning), as a way of making them more alien and engineered. So, regardless of their appearance prior to joining, they'd end up an unnerving pasty shade while indoors, and turn bright orange the second they stepped outside.
