Very nice army. Your polished gold looks really good on the last couple you did. I'm going to try out your method. I've been messing around with gold recently but I've got a kinda dark weathered look going on.

Love the canoness conversion from the Retributor body. I'm a fan of the retributor models since, other than the actual canoness, it is the closest we get to a easily convertable mini.
Too true =) Give plastics already!

Well, technically, i had to redo each part about 3 times before it was right, but i still count it as first try =p

Cool thanks =) here is the final recipe -
White primer
1 part [ GW]Snakebite Leather : 2 parts [VGC]Polished Gold
[VGC]Polished Gold till even
Highlight by adding mithril.
Shading - thinned Sepia, thinned Devlan
Glazing - Sunburst Yellow all over (obviously very thin, i think i did 2, maybe 3 glazes....stop when i looks right to you)
Leviathan Purple in deep shadows, also 1-2 glazes in not-so-deep shadows ( lol, cant think how to word it)
Touch up Highlights
What would you like to see next guys and gals? Tanks, Celestians, or Serephim?

Very intrigued by your Exorcist, can't wait to see a closer pic.
In terms of what next I'd vote for Celestines. Whichever you choose though will no doubt look awesome.

Really nice work here, and the cannoness conversion is cool! That's a really good mini from GW with all those bits, I bought a few of them to convert up too.

The new pics on the GW site of the new Scourges have made things hard for my Seraphim. The feathered wings are sexy, and having trouble deciding whether to wait to convert them if i can get my hands on some of those wings, or use the standard jumppacks. Either way i need to wait, as im waiting for a Balisica Administratum box to make some decent flying bases, and might try adding afew of the bits from that kit to the tanks also. So Seraphim whilst i want to do next, will have to wait.
Celestians I also want to be interesting and ive been playing around with different superior models to try get some dynamic poses. So for now, i think ill try finish the Rhino i have started, and maybe after do the second Rhino also. Whilst we are on the subject of tanks, afew people asked about the Exorcist i have mocked up. The launcher is the Catalyst Launcher from Quantum Gothic.
Obviously this is nowhere near done. Just wanted to get a feel for how it would look. I plan on making 2 Exorcists with these launchers, and possibly getting 1 of the standard Exorcists as well =)
Cheers guys

The launcher is cool, but 3 rockets isnt enough, needs more dakka. A thought I had might be to kitbash a second missile section beside the first one on the same base, mount them in a V (somehow, I have no idea how it would be done).... then a small box like device in the lower part of the V for the targetting array, so it looks like an upside down A
Sorry if what I said sounds crazy, it didnt seem that way in my head before typing.
I really like the way your army is taking shape and your painting is very cool.

Think the missile launcher look fits perfectly with the look and feel of the sisters. Sure, you could say more missiles, but I'd be more worried about having it look good than realistic

So today, apparently, i was bored, and went mental on the side of one of my Rhino's. So yeah, it looks like its really been through the rimmer. My first tank weathering attempt. Used some Tamiya weathering master on the lower half. I may add more, plus some soot once i get the other set.
The Fleur on the side still isnt finished =)

Thanks Nerd, been looking at your project also, very nice =)
I've had the odd half an hour here and there to continue the weathering, just half the other side and the back and the stormbolter hatch left to do. Afew questions for you guys. I was planning on painting white rectangles with text on them on certain parts.... where do you think it would look best? I was thinking a scroll type one on the front somewhere, along with an Order symbol (which i still havent thought up) and some not on the sideward facing of the exhaust parts that are parallel, but the small bits that are angling into the tank (did that make sense? =/
Also, the white rim you see on the stormbolter hatch, leave it white? or change it? it looks funny to me.
And one last thing, i need ideas for my Order symbol, Order of the Crimson Tear =) I want something cool, but not rediculius to paint =)
Thanks guys.

An outline of a white eye with a red teardrop on a golden background? Something like that would fit and could be simple.

The weathering looks good but you need some more patches in a different direction. ATM, all the damage is at the same gradient and it looks a little odd, some scars perpendicular to that and it would look great...

Thered tear drop in the Order markings is a given, i'm just trying to work out what goes around it. Some sort of eye is a logical step. I'm not too keen on the egyptian look though i'm sorry to say, though i appreciate your input Deminyn =) Sisters are more of a gothic influence. And thanks Crazy, your idea may lead to another idea, which in turn leads to another idea..... reminds me of domino's (for some odd reason)

I hear what you're saying. It probably is a little too uniform, but then again with this volume of weathering, i think if it was completely haphazard, it would also look wierd. If i'm honest, i dont really enjoy doing this much weathering. That's probably why it is taking me so long to finish. Not much motivation to finish it at all, which is a first for me. Dont get me wrong, for my first vehicle I like the way it's coming out, but it just takes too damn long heh. On future tanks i'll probably take the weathering down a notch. The good thing about this sort of thing is it is one of the last steps in painting a tank, so i can always add more later. I'll also try out different types of weathering (like bullet holes, melted sections etc) which might be a little more fun to paint.
What about you guys? Do you enjoy painting tanks or infantry most? For me its infantry all the way.

Maybe a weeping skull as an emblem, you could just use the piles of skull water transfers that we all seem to have and just paint some red tears onto it.
And yes, infantry are more fun to paint, imo.

Hey, I was thinking you can go with the schematic eye INSIDE the tear drop, what do you think ? That will be simple and efficient.
About painting : I am not good at this. But tanks are hell for me, even more than infantry !
Edit : Btw, I must think about a symbol on my own for my Order of Choir Carmine. Any thoughts ?

The weathering looks great. Its not too weird to have the scrapes in one direction though. I mean if you ram your tank against something then the same object will scrape in more than one location and the direction of the damage will be pretty similar. You just need to think about what your tank has been through
