Miraclefish wrote:Not only is is crazy, it's great fun. I had a battle of two 1200ish (legalish) point armies: 1205pt Grey Knights super unit v 1215pt new Necron super unit.
At one point, thanks to his Mindshackle Scarabs and my Empyrean Brain Mines and Psychotrope Grenades, fully half his unit was assaulting the other half of his unit with two unable to fight at all, with my two HQ units (Lord Draigo and a librarian) and four Paladins were under his control and assaulting my unit with all their weapons.
So... I roll for my hits from my remaining models and then yours randomly attack the entire unit but... you get to use my guys against me, but we have to assign hits... wait... erm...
After five minutes of trying to work out how the hell we'd work this one out, we gave up and went for a coffee. Excelsior!
That...is...epic
I don't think they've playtested THAT scenario!
It gets complex as Mindshackle Scarabs let you use the enemy's weapons but not their abilities, but Psychotroke Grenades simply say 'attack their own squad'!
Codex: Grey Knights touched me in the bad place...

If you allow forgeworld rules you can take an Archon + a 19 model strong court with a Tantalus as their dedicated transport. But still, thats not as many points as some armies can get even without resorting to the Imperial Armour books.
