Yes, they still do. It's on Saturday this year and it's back at the hotel they used the first three years.

Yes, it's a Demon Prince of Nurgle. I hope to have him done in time to lead the Sons of Pus.
Thanks.

I dunno, should I do my new (old) metal Juggerlord, or my Daemon Prince, or perhaps one of my Dark Angels Librarians? I'm leaning toward the Librarian, as it will be easier to do than the others I think!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

I'm in! Orktober indeed! My general army theme is Skullz, Sunz, and Freebooters and I need some more shootas, so...
I'm going to really go for the Sunz lad (orange and black, dontcha know?) and if I have enough time, I'll also do the ork dressed as a viking. Hopefully I can get both ready in time for some trick ork treating, but I don't usually have much time to spend on the hobby, and each mini usually takes me 6-8 hours, although I'm getting a little faster these days. Two minis in one month? Maybe...

Proof (Trick Ork Treat!):

Hi all,

Good to be back. The past couple of months topics didn't line up with my current project.

Here is Demon Prince Kvalm Konelig. The plan is to have ready to go for the MechaniCon at the end of the month.

Good luck, be well, and take care.

I used this:

I wrote a quick review of it:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/594559.page

I put down a layer of green stuff and put the blotch marks / holes in it. After it dried I drilled out the spots for the tentacles to fit.

It's difficult to see, but the idea is to have his eyes covered with pustules and he "sees" out of an eye in his left hand.

Take care and be well

@TP^DC Deputy Manager, thanks! It will require a fair amount of putty work to bring everything together and the addition of details here and there, then comes the painting... So many vials of strange liquids... Should be pretty cool one it is done!

I have one of those as well, works well. you have to make sure to lub it with water etc and not press too hard or it sticks and you spend ages scraping green stuff out of the groves (my first failed attempt). I did wonder if you could get a similar effect with a comb or something with groves/teeth on it

Okay, forget the things I listed before that I might do. I think this guy will fit the theme on several levels:

Yep, it's Cypher, perhaps the trickiest of all the Fallen Dark Angels. He's slipped their net so many times, he has become legendary. No one knows his true allegiance (except probably himself). In short, this guy is full of tricks and surprises, and his miniature should be really fun to paint!

Washing up liquid. Sounds mental but it is what I use for press mounds and it makes everything work smoothly.

I have a real problem with getting distracted every month so would it be cheating if I submitted two things and then tried to complete at least one them?? Need to get some deathshroud terminators painted but already being distracted by a dark elder bomber!

Good luck everyone! I will try to join next month.

It is an oath we honour. Hey all, after asking Para, he has given the go ahead for me to post up a signature banner that can be used to promote the challenge, should you so wish to.

Well that was a frustrating 2 hours spent trying to get a metal Balrog to fit together! Thank goodness the wings were the plastic ones and not metal too. I'm going to have to fill the gaps next time round which I am definitely not looking forward to. This is going to truly test my pathetic GS skills :(
